this is pretty much self-explanitory. pick your NFC and AFC teams and a little reason why.
Ravens: finally have the receivers, now its up to Kyle Boller
Vikings: maybe the defense will finally come to life

AFC: Pats
NFC: Doesn't Matter ;D (But, Eagles)

I would have to go with the Ravens as well. Last season Kyle Boller slowly got better and with Heap healty, Lewis no being out and with Derrick Mason and Mark Clayton as well, this team should be a lot better on offense. And on defense getting Rolle and Cody should help things as well.
As for the NFC I will just go for the Falcons since I like Vick and they have Jim Mora as their coach. They came just a win away for the Superbowl last year, and this year their passing game should be improved as Vick starts to get things. The Falcons are a young team comparied to most of the top teams; so I would say the can only get better with time, Since they have great coaches in Atlanta.

Considering im a Ravens fan, thats self explanatory on who im picking to win it all. I truly believe we will do it, especially now with the additions on offense and defensively. I'm a bit worried about the new 4-3 scheme, but I think we will be just fine. Its all about Jamal Lewis, Todd Heap and the rest staying healthy this year.

Lucky you..you get to pick your favorite team and not get laughed at. I think this might be the year Indy finally gets past the Pats, with New England losing Romeo Crennel, as well as Ty Law and Teddy Bruschi (who's absolutely killed Manning every time they've played). As for the NFC, I don't really see anybody beating the Eagles...I'd pick Minnesota, but I'm not for two reasons: For one, they're the Vikings...which means the inevitable choke before they even get to the Super Bowl. And two, their coach is Mike Tice. That's like spotting the other team at least 10 points.

Now Jami, It was Willie McGinnest who absolutly kills Indy each year, though Bruschi had his share of plays as well. I dont know, because Dungy is becoming the leagues best coach to never reach the SuperBowl.
It's quite early to make predictions, because I gurantee the Ravens lose Jamal Lewis, Mark Clayton, Ed Reed, or Ray Lewis in the pre-season.... they wont be a favorite. Same goes with about every team.
Without injuries, and the seaosn starting tomarow...
I'd go with Oakland making a push towards the playoffs but getting outbeat by the Chargers for the last spot. The Jets doing a damned good job staying in the game with Pennington healthy, but not beating the Colts who ill the Broncos again. This ultimately leads to the unfortunate slashing the Steelers give to the Colts because Mannings the next Marino.
The Steelers, with an even better defense, Roethlisbeger looking for his prooving it's not a one year wonder, and great RB/WR duos, will have to play the Atlanta Falcons.
Phillys going to get woke up with all their issues off the field and even on the field. Carolina was a won year wonder, Dallas and Washington sit on the brink of the Playoffs, Seatle has no passion, and Greenbay losses more games on defense. Minesotta has troubles keeping healthy and wher'd St. Louis go?
Steelers over the Falcons in the blackest of all black Superbowls played in one of the blackest cities in America.

I'm sorry. But was anyone else watching Kyle Boller last year? I know he now has Mason and Clayton (although rookie receivers rarely do well), but I am not convinced. Now, I'm no pro scout or anything, so I could be wrong.

Kyle Boller was horrible, is horrible and will always be horrible, I don't see the Ravens making the SB, they need an Offensive-Line before they try, and you may say what about the defense and the receivers? Jonathan Ogden may be the best but they need a line to help work Boller or the offense will fall even more this season,
I see the Steelers making the Superbowl to face the Vikings who will come through when needed ;D

Now, I'm no pro scout or anything, so I could be wrong. The three main rookie wide outs that came out last year all had solid years. Roy Williams, was great, Michael Clayton, was amazing. And the Fitz was solid. And I saw Kyle Boller over five times last year and I could see him improving. He may not be very good but he is slowly picking up. Plus the Ravens don't need him to be putting up great numbers, just as long as he isn't making mistakes and get a couple of big plays they can go very far.

The Ravens are still over-cap, they'll need to release a few players, not to big but as big as it could hurt them.

Then you have Rashaun Woods, Reggie Williams, Mike Jenkins, Bryant Johnson, etc. Rookie receivers are known to make that much of an impact.
In college, receivers allow their talent to make up for route-running, etc. In the NFL, corners can abuse them for that.
That being said, Mark Clayton is widely thought of as the most complete wide receiver in the draft. However, with a shaky quarterback, I'm skeptical.
Fitz and Roy are in another class when it comes to talent too.

Last years Should Have Yeah it should have. Everyone where I live in Pa was expecting it. If it would have been one team I think that most of them would have picked the Steelers to make it. I think it can happen though. Jason Gildon and Joey Porter are crazy good.

Gildon left at the start of last season, he's currently with Jacksonville, I think I would rather have Haggans than Gildon though and many suspect that they might sign Ty Law, so the Steelers should have another solid run at Lombardi
