after the trade, John Abraham has agreed to a six-year, $45 million deal with the Falcons, with about $18 million guaranteed.

Ugh. I hate those "faces of the franchise" leaving to sign with the rival signings.
I'm looking at Patriot fans. How do you let Willie McGinest (face of the D along with Bruschi and Rodney Harrison) go and then you let the guy who put in two game winning Super Bowl kicks?!

It is really quite simple. The Patriots don't want to pay Adam as the number 1 kicker because they don't think he is the best in the league. He is undoubtedly clutch. We've all seen it. But you can't pay him top dollar because he made kicks in the past. It is about what they think he will do in the future. Same with McGinest. I know it sucks, but NFL, like all sports is a business first. Any owner is not in the business of spending millions of dollars on something they don't believe in.

Well this is a day old, but nobody posted it, so I will. Brian Griese (Ex-Michigan QB) signs with the Bears

Looks like the Bears plan is to have Griese as a back-up, cause of the fact that there's a 95% chance that Grossman will get yet another injury this year. I don't know why the Bears signed ,31 year old, Griese to a 5 year deal? This deal won't leave the Bears in the dust when there starter gets hurt, though. This is a great move, I just think they should've offered him a shorter contract.

Vanderjagt's a kicker...Parcells won't even notice he's there, until he misses a kick.

Just imagine what the Panthers will do now with Keyshawn. While S.Smith is holding that double coverage, Keyshawn is going to be ripping it up. This is Keyshawn's comeback year!

"Texans signed C Mike Flanagan to a three-year, $9 million contract, with a $3 million signing bonus."
The Packers had to replace Mike Wahle and Marco Rivera last season, two of their best offensive lineman on the line. Now they're going to have to replace C Mike Flanagan when their O-Line was a disaster last season.
The entire O-Line needs to be addressed through the draft or at least free agency, if there are any remaining valuable free agent O-Lineman out there.
