Haha, ok. Bring up Vick. Take one look at that stacked defense, and you'll see why I have Super Bowl aspirations.

Your offense sucks with Vick and teams are going to be able to score on your so-called "stacked" defense enough to win games vs. Atlanta. No passing attack whatsoever and no other running back to look to has Warrick Dunn in a hole. Good luck with those Super Bowl aspirations, they're not even going to the playoffs. 3rd in the division behind Carolina and Tampa Bay, a team with a better offense and the 2nd or 3rd best defense in the league.

I suppose we shall see.
I think the defense is really good, and Lelie/Jenkins should get by as far as WRs go. As for Dunn, I think he has it in him to carry the rushing load.
What would really be sweet is if Vick goes down for the year, and Schaub gets to start. Then we would really be quite a force.

The Problem with Atlanta isn't with Vick or there defense. It's nothing iternal. It's the fact that the Carolina Panthers stacked there defense this year. That Tampa Bay continues to have a dominant defense of there own. It's the fact that the NFC South plays the NFC East this year.
Atlanta plays Tampa twice, Carolina Twice, Philladelphia, New York, Dallas and Washington. That's 8 tough games off the top of my head, and I dont know if there playing anyone in the AFC this year.
If Jon Abraham can play like he did in college, Lawyer Milloy play 5 years younger and Michael Vick and Warrick Dunn cary the offense to 20 something points a game. I can see a wildcard, but a Superbowl for Atlanta doesn't look realistic for a few years. Atleast untill they get an easier schedule.
Also.... Atlanta plays horrible in the cold. With Chicago playing nobody this year, there into the playoffs. That almost guarantees a matchup in Chicago on so many levels.

Carolina - split Dallas - Win Washington - Win Philly - Win New York - Loss now if we could just get a split against the Bucs... that would be 5-3. Not to bad with that schedule

Carolina - split What did you guys improve from last year when you got rolled at home? Carolina should be the favorite as of now, with last years team except improvements at WR, RB (no 4th stringer in the playoffs this year), O-line, and D-line. Though with the tough schedule, I can see a team like Seattle sweeping the ladies division, getting homefield, and Carolina laying a turd again.

Now, as you were saying about the stacked defenses. See, the Eagles of the early '90s were in the same situation. Did they win any Super Bowls? No. There offense, aka Randall Cunningham, could not carry that team. You can't expect the guys they have to be enough on offense. I mean, they have a good defense, but there are still a lot of wholes in it. And, Jim Mora Jr. is a moron.

Straying from taling about the Atlanta Falcons....
For the first time since 1978, the Oakland Raiders will open the season without a hesiman trophy winner currently on the roster. Crazy Facts.

I can o nly hope the Raiders play as poorly as mine did in Sprews fantasy, and that the 4-1 pre-season record is no indication on anything over a 5-11 season. We need the first pick, we need Brady Quinn lol.

Kansas City Chiefs (10-2-4)
Week 1 - Cincinnati - Win Week 2 - @ Denver - Loss Week 3 - Bye Week 4 - San Fran - Win Week 5 - @ Arizona - Win Week 6 - @ Pittsburgh - Loss Week 7 - San Diego - Win Week 8 - Seattle - Push Week 9 - @ St. Louis - Win Week 10 - @ Miami - Push Week 11 - Oakland - Win Week 12 - Denver - Win Week 13 - @ Cleveland - Win Week 14 - Baltimore - Push Week 15 - @ San Diego - Push Week 16 - @ Oakland - Win Week 17 - Jacksonville - Win
So, the Chiefs IMO could do as good as 14-2 (very, very unlikely) or be as bad as 10-6 (more realistic). I would have to say we'll finish 11-5 and earn a wildcard berth as a 5 or 6.
EDIT: I would never go against the Chiefs on Opening Day at home. Seattle will be a tough one, but it's at home. Baltimore might actually be tough this year...I'll make that a push game.

4-12 for the Lions.
I don't expect them to do anything this year, although the beat writers are predicting 7-9. Peter King projected them at 10-6. I've seen this more than enough to realize it ain't happening.
And N2S, I thought you were a Bucs fan?

Are you kidding me? I havn't liked the buccaneers since Tony Dungy left. I only rooted for them while he was there because hometeam and I liked the players.
I was born in Indiana, which is why I am biased with Indianapolis, but I have been an Oakland Raider fan since I can remember. We have never been realy good while I liked them(Superbowl loss to Tampa aside), but sooner or later.
Worst thing that could have happened for Oakland did in releasing Danny Clark. I personally think they try to loose games. Bill Callahan was right, there idiots. The team, the staff. lol.
Raider Fan.... remember that

Oh, alright. I don't know why I always associated you with the Bucs, other than the Tampa location.

Baltimore Ravens 11-5 (7-1 Home) (4-4 Away)
Week 1 - @ Tampa Bay - Win Week 2 - Oakland - Win Week 3 - @ Cleveland - Win Week 4 - San Diego - Win Week 5 - @ Denver - Loss Week 6 - Carolina - Loss Week 7 - BYE Week 8 - @ New Orleans - Win Week 9 - Cincinnati - Win Week 10 - @ Tennessee - Win Week 11 - Atlanta - Win Week 12 - Pittsburgh - Win Week 13 - @ Cincinnati - Loss Week 14 - @ Kansas City - Loss Week 15 - Cleveland - Win Week 16 - @ Pittsburgh - Loss Week 17 - Buffalo - Win
(Note) I had us facing a few of these teams in the playoff predictions (Denver, Carolina) I think we'll lose to those teams in the reg season but during the playoffs would defeat them, its hard for a team to beat another team twice in a season. Also, I am most confident with the splits against Pittsburgh and Cincinnati since they both have good teams and Baltimore seems to fail during road games.
The big road game I do have us winning is at Tampa in the opener because I believe we're going to use this game as a statement that we are playoff material. Obviously though, this game could really go either way.

Hey Leak, I'm going to agree, but I'm going to just switch two games...I think Baltimore loses week one in Tampa, but beats Carolina at home. I think the TB game will end up 3-0, 6-3, 10-3, something like that. Doing that would make you guys undefeated at home...which recent history tells me that teams with high powered defenses usually do extremely well at home.
For instance: 2005 Chicago (7-1) Indianapolis (7-1) Pittsburgh (5-3) Denver (8-0) Carolina (5-3)
2004 Pittsburgh (8-0) New England (8-0) Philadelphia (7-1) NY Jets (6-2) Washington (4-4)
2003 New England (8-0) Dallas (6-2) Miami (4-4) Tampa Bay (3-5) Buffalo (4-4)
2002 Tampa Bay (6-2) Philadelphia (7-1) NY Giants (5-3) Miami (7-1) Carolina (4-4)
2001 Chicago (7-1) Philadelphia (4-4) Pittsburgh (7-1) Baltimore (6-2) Green Bay (7-1)
Total Record (150-50) That's a winning percentage of .750, which is pretty good.
Anyhow, I do believe Baltimore will be back near the top in terms of total defense. I love their new offense. I think it will take four weeks to get all the kinks worked out. I think Derrick Mason will have a great year, and so will Todd Heap. As a matter of fact, I believe Todd Heap will move past T. Gonzalez this year into the #2 fantasy TE position.
I like Baltimore alot this year is basically what I'm saying.

As a matter of fact, I believe Todd Heap will move past T. Gonzalez this year into the #2 fantasy TE position. I just had to reply to this! Maybe not #2 - yet. I would put it like this: Gates - 1st Gonzalez - 2a Heap - 2b I know Heap's good, but I think TG is too good to stay down for much longer. He's got two or three good years left. Plus Herm wants to throw to him in the red zone. Biased? You bet. It's not like I'm the only one on this board that has bias towards their team, it's natural. What Heap has going for him is having Mason, Clayton on the outside, and finally a guy that can pull the trigger to these guys in McNair. If he gets hurt again, however, Heap becomes pretty much the only guy, and teams will double him.

My basis for this opinion is that McNair has a history of loving his TE's......and yes I think Gonzalez is still a great TE, but Edwards history isn't favorable of his TE's.
If McNair goes down, look to what happened last year. Boller and co. threw to Heap all day. You can't really double Heap because that leaves the outside wide open. I just think the pieces are there for Heap to have an incredible season.
I'm not even a Ravens fan....just putting it out there.
