Carolina will win the super bowl this year, book it. I've got my money on Foster/Williams combo in the backfield. It all falls on whether or not Kris Jenkins is healthy.

NFC West Seattle* Arizona St. Louis San Fran
NFC South Carolina* Tampa Bay Atlanta New Orleans
NFC North Chicago* Minnesotta Detroit Green Bay
NFC East Washington* Philadelphia* Dallas New York
NOTE: The NFC East & South play eatchother this year, and being that they are the two hardest divisions in the NFC, that'll create problems. Chicago and Seattle are leagues better than the other teams in there conference. Detroit plays well without a Quarterback. Washington barely beats out Philly for the East titil. I have Giants being last in the East, because inexperience at Quarterback with Eli Manning has it's effect against Tampa Bay, Carolina and Atlanta in non-divisional games.
AFC West Denver* Kansas City* San Diego Oakland
AFC South Indianapolis* Jacksonville Houston Tennessee
AFC North Baltimore* Pittsburgh* Cincinnati Cleveland
AFC East New England* Miami New York Buffalo
NOTE: Denver is the best team by numbers, though they will never get over Indianapolis on gameday. Kansas City runs into a wild card. Indianapolis holds off Jacksonville with injuries to Peterson, Jones and soon to be Taylor. Baltimore plays defense again and holds off a tie between Cincy and Pittsburgh. Steelers barely make playoffs like last season. New England is no match for other three in the East.
Playoffs:
AFC Indianapolis beats Denver and then losses to New England in the Championship.... again
NFC Washington falls to Seattle who losses to Carolina in the Championship.... again
Superbowl: Carolina gets back at New England in a defensive route. Meanwhile, DeAngelo Williams and Laurence Maroney(Rookies) set a Superbowl record for being the first rookies to start at runningback for the two teams.
**You cant tell me that Carolina doesnt have what it takes to win a Superbowl. They have Delhomme, who is clutch and makes great decisions. Foster/Williams. Then they have Smith/Johnson/Carter/Colbert with a rediculous o-line. On defense, Peppers, Rucker, Jenkins and Kemoeatu is best in league with Morgan, Davis and Diggs/short at LB. Ken Lucas is a beast, and Gamble has intercepted 11 passes in 2 seasons. Not to mention Minter is a Top 10 safety like it or leave it.
It's last years team just better... which means Superbowl. Freak lol.

If the Bears had any kind of offense...I would put them as a major player for the Super Bowl. I might have actually picked them to win it.

I'll add records for each team, although they aren't going to match up accurately so don't look into this too much.
NFC East Dallas (11-5) Washington (11-5) Philadelphia (8-8) New York (8-8)
NFC North Chicago (10-6) Detroit (8-8) Minnesota (6-10) Green Bay (3-13)
NFC South Carolina (12-4) Tampa Bay (11-5) Atlanta (7-9) New Orleans (3-13)
NFC West Seattle (11-5) Arizona (7-9) San Francisco (4-12) St. Louis (4-12)
NOTES: I took a risk sticking San Francisco ahead of St. Louis, I just think Alex Smith and Vernon Davis are a good fit. I like Detroit to win eight games, but miss the playoffs because of the Redskins and their 11-5 season. The Buccanneers also have a breakout season with Chris Simms behind center and they repeat their playoff appearance.
AFC East Miami (10-6) New England (9-7) New York (3-13) Buffalo (2-14)
AFC North Cincinnati (10-6) Pittsburgh (9-7) Baltimore (5-10-1) Topeka (3-12-1)
AFC South Indianapolis (12-4) Jacksonville (9-7) Tennessee (4-12) Houston (3-13)
AFC West Denver (13-3) Kansas City (8-8) San Diego (8-8) Oakland (6-10)
NOTES: Obviously my upset pick is Miami winning their divison. It is a major stretch, but I like the Dolphins offense. Daunte Culpepper should have a solid year with Chambers and McMichael to throw to. I think Ronnie Brown will do a pretty good job in his first real season starting. The Patriots will still get into the playoff with a nine win season. I like Carson Palmer to come off the injury and throw for 28 touchdowns while the Steelers lose the division in a tiebreaker. Kansas City sniffs the playoff spot, but Denver and Jake Plummer have the tools to dominate.
NFC Playoffs Dallas 23 Chicago 17 Washington 27 Tampa Bay 13
Dallas 20 Seattle 17 Carolina 33 Washington 14
Dallas 17 Carolina 14
AFC Playoffs New England 28 Cincinnati 21 Pittsburgh 16 Miami 0
Denver 30 New England 18 Indianapolis 37 Pittsburgh 24
Indianapolis 22 Denver 20
Super Bowl Indianapolis 27 Dallas 21
MVP: Peyton Manning - 3 TD's

You all might think im crazy now but the way I see it everybody's prediction of Baltimore winning it all was a year too early. This obviously is only if McNair can stay healthy. Am I really sure on this prediction, No but im going to go with it because its gut feeling.
I love Carolina this year, but I cant pick them beating us simply because I dont see them out playing us on defense. Therefore, I go with my favorite team and hope they dont make me look stupid like they did last year.

I am from Indianpolis and I love the Colts. I live in Tampa, so I grew up admiring Tony Dungy. With that said, you are all very unrealistic in predicting Indianapolis as a Superbowl participant. They havn't yet been able to beat any of the harder teams in the league over the last 3 seasons and they wont start now after the loss of Edgerin James.
Leak... I think Baltimore, with the addition of McNair and there defense revamped, could win the division like I posted. However, if there defense doesn't play like it's 2002 squad, I dont see them beating not only Pittsburgh and Cincinatti, but Indiapolis, Denver and New England. It'll be a tough road.
As for St.Louis.... Steven Jackson will carry there team past San Francisco atleast lol. And Tampa Bay had 5 gifts by the refs last season that changed what would have been a 6-10 season into an 11-5 one. Chris Simms is nothing short but a second comming of Shawn King.

That aside, Baltimore and Miami are probably the more intriguing teams in the AFC this year, with proven quarterbacks at the helm, and both teams have viable targets to throw to. But it all depends on their health, and especially in Baltimore's case, if the defense can play up to the '02 form. If so, Baltimore will sneak up past Cincy for that last wildcard spot, and they could overtake KC as well. Miami could even win their division, with NE snagging a wildcard from another 9-7 or 8-8 team. In the NFC, I think Tampa Bay has the horses to take a wildcard, but the division is another matter. Carolina's defense is just too good. If Jenkins can stay healthy for the first time in two seasons, I don't see how anyone would be able to run on them. I look for Carolina's offense to take off with Keyshawn at the #2 slot, opening up the run game. Seattle should have little to no drop off from a season ago, especially with Hamlin coming back, and the Giants will be no pushover this season as well. Basically, what it comes down to, is that it's wide open, but Carolina has to be the favorite at this time.

I agree Carolina has to be the favorite and both statements about the Ravens. One of our problems that worries me isnt that our defense wont be how it was before, because I think their going to be top notch, what worries me is our offensive line.
Im confident in Ogden, Flynn, and Mulitalo because their proven vets and good when healthy, but im not confident in the other two which could be a mix of Tony Pashos, Keydrick Vincent, Chris Chester, Brian Rimpf and Adam Terry.
I hate Pashos and think he needs to be replaced by Terry, I constantly see Pashos get torn apart by the ends. I dont have any problems with Vincent, just hope he stays healthy. If he doesnt, then we're with Rimpf or Chester.
McNair has great confidence in himself and always remains calm in the pocket, thats the difference between him and Boller thats going to set our offense apart with years past. What can I say though, once again high hopes in a team that really let themselves down last season.

haha... yes, obviously i am not a Buccaneer fan now that Grudens head coach. I became a Raider fan after I read football books, and watched game films and all that jazz. After doing so, I liked there swagger. A few of us out there actually pick our favorite team and not ust root for the home squad lol.
