Week 8. My time to redeem myself. ----------- Sunday, Oct. 29 Arizona at Green Bay ;D Atlanta at Cincinnati Baltimore at New Orleans Houston at Tennessee Jacksonville at Philadelphia Seattle at Kansas City ;D San Francisco at Chicago ;D Tampa Bay at N.Y. Giant St. Louis at San Diego Indianapolis at Denver ;D N.Y. Jets at Cleveland Pittsburgh at Oakland ;D Dallas at Carolina Monday, Oct. 30 New England at Minnesota ;D ---------- Pretty striaght forward. There's a couple of games that could go either way. But I think that because of injuries and momentum that there's a good chance that at the end of the day those are the winners. This Week : 6-8 Total : 12-15 ------- Two weeks in a row. I come do my picks at DC and get in a funk. But who'd guess that Oakland would win again and that Cleveland would win a game. Vick actually throwing from the pocket and getting the ball close enough to his receivers so they can catch it. After Philly being so hot on offense to come out so flat. We'll I'll try again this Saturday to make it above .500. I can't believe I'm saying that.

Ok It's time to get back to my old ways of actually doing well in pick 'ems. Week 9 is time to get it back in gear.
----------
Sunday, Nov. 5
Atlanta at Detroit Cincinnati at Baltimore Dallas at Washington Green Bay at Buffalo Houston at N.Y. Giants Kansas City at St. Louis Miami at Chicago New Orleans at Tampa Bay Tennessee at Jacksonville Minnesota at San Francisco Cleveland at San Diego Denver at Pittsburgh Indianapolis at New England
Monday, Nov. 6
Oakland at Seattle
----------
It was tough for me to pick the winners for the Cinncy/Baltimore game and the Indy/Pats game. The Ravens have the better D and Cinny has the better O. I picked the Ravens to win cause of the fact that Billick's smart enough to give the ball to Lewis and the fact that the game is in Baltimore. Also in tight games I tend to like the better D. With the Indy/Pats game it's just the fact that even though Indy's D has had some troubles with the Pats in the past and some problems with the run recently. The Colts beat the Pats last year and I think that the Colts are, all around, the better team.

I was tempted to allow SmarterChild to make my picks this week, but I decided against it. I should have entered it in there at the start.

Lots of toss-up picks. The only sure ones on the board are Chicago, New York, and Atlanta.
San Diego is missing a lot of people on defense, including Merriman, but should still win over Cleveland. The Rams' run defense is too porous, and LJ had a great day against a solid Seahawk defense last week. I take the Chiefs by a score, even on the road. New Orleans has a chance to win and get back on the right track over Tampa Bay.
In the Monday night game, I think Seattle rebounds from last week's loss, and beats the Raiders at home.

Im still not convinced New England is as good as advertised, but they could make a huge statement and prove alot of people right/wrong this week. I am a bit worried about the big play situation in the Baltimore, Cincinnati game. Our secondary has been less than stellar this season, but I think this week we might finally get it together against a division rival in front of the home crowd.
I have picked GB the past two weeks (I believe) and have been correct. This week though, I am not so sure they go into Buffalo and get a victory. Young teams obviously tend to struggle on the road, and I think homefield wins this one for the Bills.
The last game I will point out is STL-KC. I picked the Rams last week only to watch them get ran over by LT (which I expected) and lose. I had picked them because I had figured they could keep up on offense and make-up for the lack of defense against such a rushing attack.
Now they get to face Larry Johnson, and I expect like im sure everyone else for him to plow right through that defense as LT did last week. This one will be close, but the Chiefs pull it out.

LMAO at the Falcons
The one time everyone picks them, they play their worst play of the year.
GO LIONS!

Hell yeah, go Lions! Give the Saints the division lead back. Got a tough slog coming up with games at Pittsburgh, Cinci, at Atlanta, SF (well not so much), and a trip to Dallas. I gotta say though, I never expected to be 6-2 right now.

I went 4-5, awful. The problem was the "sure fire" picks fell through.

Looking at 8-4 missing picks on Detroit, Miami, San Francisco, and Washington. Considering they are four of the worst teams in the NFL and werent expected to win im pretty proud of my picks so far this week.
