Week 10. Time to try and jump over .500. Let's go! --------- Sunday, Nov. 12 Baltimore at Tennessee Buffalo at IndianapolisCleveland at AtlantaGreen Bay at Minnesota Houston at Jacksonville Kansas City at Miami N.Y. Jets at New England San Diego at Cincinnati San Francisco at Detroit Washington at Philadelphia Denver at Oakland Dallas at Arizona New Orleans at Pittsburgh St. Louis at Seattle Chicago at N.Y. GiantsMonday, Nov. 13 Tampa Bay at Carolina --------- Well all the games are pretty straight forward. The tough decision this week is the Bears/Giants game. You can say what you want about the teams, but the fact of the matter is that they both have thier strengths and weaknesses. Even though the Giants D is a little banged up, I'm gonna go with them. I think that when it comes to crunch time that the more experienced Giants offense will be able to take better control of the ball than the lesser experienced Bears. I don't think that Grossman's gonna throw a bunch of picks again, but I think that the Giants D will do just a enough to keep him in check. Representing the Bucs on primetime, even though well all know that they've got a better chance of bowling a 300 than winning that game. But I gotta pick them, especially in front of the national crowd.

I'm a Bears fan, but still I don't think we're going to win the Super BOwl. Rex Grossman needs to get atleast decently consistent. Until that 28 yard pass a few seconds ago he was 5/14 for 7 YARDS in the entire game. (its the 3rd quarter already).

Remember, this is his first full season on the gridiron without an injury. So as it's concered to actually playing time with real teams, he's practially a rookie or early second year guy. Give him time. He's doing great now. He's just a little inconsistent, nothing a little time won't heal.

He has now 17 starts under his belt. Here's what his stats are with his first 16, aka a full season.
258 COMP / 455 ATT / 3,211 YDS / 56.7% COMP / 21 TD / 17 INT / 78.6 RATING
Not exactly a terrible rookie season.

Yeah, what's he been in the league, 4 years? Yea seriously. Those games are spread out over 4 seasons...not exactly fair if you ask me considering a QB should grow through those 4 seasons...

And Gary that's a terrible way to measure his performance thus far...

I like Grossman and I think he's got a lot of potential, but I've got to agree with the last few posts that this isn't the ideal way to assess his performance. The numbers are quite good, but they're in chunks. If he can stay healthy for a full season, and put up numbers like this, then we can start talking.

Well so far his QB rating for this season is higher than Delhomme, E. Manning, Favre, and McNair. So even if you wanna compare him to a fourth year QB, even though he's only started 17 games, he's still doing OK. People are blowing the situation a little out of proportion. ---------- I'm just gonna keep it short and sweet this week and not say much to try and get over .500. Let's see if that works. Week 11 ---------- Sunday, Nov. 19 Atlanta at Baltimore ;D Buffalo at Houston Chicago at N.Y. Jets ;D Cincinnati at New Orleans Minnesota at Miami New England at Green Bay ;D Oakland at Kansas City ;D Pittsburgh at Cleveland ;D St. Louis at Carolina ;D Tennessee at Philadelphia Washington at Tampa Bay ;D Detroit at Arizona Seattle at San Francisco Indianapolis at Dallas San Diego at Denver ;D Monday, Nov. 20 N.Y. Giants at Jacksonville ---------- There it is. ---------- Well not a poor week, but then again, it's not what I was hoping for. This Week : 8-8 Total : 33-40 A .500 Week. I'll show up Wednesday and hope to blast above .500.

Honestly, QB rating is possibly one of the worst ways to measure a quarterback. I'm sorry, but for a statistic named specifically for ranking quarterbacks, it fails. JP Losman is ranked 12th, for crying out loud. Something's wrong with it.
