Gotta love the NFL playoffs! Even though the Bills didn't get in, AGAIN, this is the great part of the NFL season, especially with the Steelers proving last year that even the #6 seeds have a chance. This is just a place to make my predictions for the upcoming games, feel free to discuss the upcoming matchups here, or make predictions of your own! For the games this upcoming weekend.... AFC Wild CardKansas City (9-7) at Indianapolis (12-4)Say all you want about how Indy can't stop the run and how LJ is just gonna pound it down their throats. The Colts have something to prove here, after stomping through the last few regular seasons, only to be dismantled when it counted most, in the postseason. I think Peyton Manning comes out firing, and the Colts win this one in the Dome. Final Score: Colts 31, Chiefs 17 New York Jets (10-6) at New England Patriots (12-4)It seems to be the most unimpressive Patriots team of recent years, but hey, they still managed to compile a 12-4 record this season, including an ugly win over the top NFC team, the Bears. Look for Belechik (sp?) to get revenge on Mangini, as the home team wins another one up in Foxboro. Final Score: Patriots 20, Jets 9 NFC Wild CardNew York Giants (8-8) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)The Giants are probably the least deserving team to make it into the playoffs this year, sneaking in the soft NFC with a .500 record. But I don't see the Eagles going far in the playoffs this year, even though they're red hot (5 game winning streak) with Jeff Garcia at the helm. This might be a prediction I'm making due to my extreme dislike of the Eagles, but I see the Giants pulling off the upset here, even without Michael Strahan. Eli Manning will show the critics that while he may not be a consistent NFL starter yet, he has the tools to get it done. Tiki isn't finished yet. Final Score: Giants 27, Eagles 24 (OT) Dallas Cowboys (9-7) at Seattle Seahawks (9-7)The Seahawks have been riddled with injuries all season, but now they've finally got some healthy people back. Dallas has lost three out of four, and has not looked impressive the past few weeks. I see this game going one of two ways. Either Dallas clicks on all cylinders and destroys the Seahawks, or the offense sputters again and everything f***s up, like it did two weeks ago. I really would like to go Seahawks, especially at home, but their top three defensive backs are banged up. Expect Romo to find Glenn and Owens early and often. Final Score: Cowboys 17, Seahawks 7 I like how the playoffs are looking so far, because I'm really only confident in one of my four predictions, Patriots over Jets. I could see my other three easily being wrong, because some of these teams are so flawed. Here's to hoping for a fun 2007 playoff season.

Chiefs 34 <=== Colts 20 Larry Johnson rushes for over 200 yards
Jets 19 <=== Patriots 17 Jets pull off the upset with some Pennington magic
Giants 23 ===> Eagles 30 Giants have been outplayed all but one quarter this season against the Eagles. Tiki has been stuffed both games and will be this time as well, and Westbook pisses all over.
Cowboys 24 <=== Seahawks 20 Parcells will not allow his team to lose again after being embarassed by Detroit. Parcells will pop veins on the sideline if his team loses, guaranteed.
Three road wins...

Chiefs 38-34 Colts
Larrry Johnson runs all over them like expected and this one turns out just like the game in the playoffs a few years ago between the two when neither had punted the whole game. Peyton Manning plays a perfect game, but cannot do enough to help the horrible Colts run defense.
Patriots 17-14 Jets
I really want to pick the Jets, but I dont see them beating New England twice and this time in the playoffs at Foxboro. It should be a great game, but I think the cinderella of the Jets will end here.
Giants 20-17 Eagles
I think right now the Eagles are the better team, but I dont see them beating the G-men twice in such a short period of time. I know they're banged up and they have looked terrible, but I think the hottest team in the NFC will finally look bad just like the other ones tend to do one week or another.
Seattle 31-24 Cowboys
Who do you really pick out of these two teams, I mean both have lost 3 out of their last 4 and have been two of the coldest teams as of late. I personally choose Seattle over Dallas due to a few things. I think Romo's inexperience will show in the playoffs especially in the 12th man. Hasselbeck shouldnt have a hard time with that secondary, the Cowboys have been torched all year. So im going with the 'Hawks.

KC over Indy 34-31 in a game where Peyton and his offense do all they can while the defense chokes. Larry Johnson. Jets over New England 27-17...what? Yep. Mangini is going to outdo his teacher once again, the Pats are just old and frail and have no receivers. Giants over Philly 16-13...just watch and learn. Tiki's nowhere near done. He hasn't struggled against Philly, just not gotten the ball enough. Eli blew this defense away in the first game and I'm looking to see him have a good game (a little better than this past week) and Tiki getting about 105, Jacobs with the sole score and Feely tacking on 3 field goals inside the redzone for the Giants. Cowboys over Seahawks 12-7...going to the most boring game ever. Cowboys are returning to early season form and Tony Homo isn't going to play well in the playoffs and against Seattle's defense. Seattle has played poorly all season and without Steve Hutchinson the offense is nothing. Someone get some sort of pick 'em together on here or something.

Probably strength of schedule. Either that or because KC went 4-2 in the AFC West but that might not make sense since it was for the Wild Card spot not the Division.

If I remember right, both teams came down to conference record. If that was the case Denver should be in, unless I read records incorrectly.

Couldn't have been conference record. Denver's was better.
It might have actually come down to division, and KC did beat the Chargers once.

Kansas City 30, Indianapolis 27
This is a toss-up game. The only thing I think that Indianapolis has going for them is the potential embarrassment of losing to a team that caught every break imaginable to get into the playoffs. There's no reason that LJ should put up less than 150 on the Colts D.
New England 20, NY Jets 14
Brady does it again, with a touchdown pass late to come from behind to beat the Jets. Pennington gets pressured by the front seven of the Pats, and throws a few picks in the process.
Philly 28, NY Giants 10
I don't think it's going to be close. Garcia seems to have this team on a roll, and the defense is playing well. Although, this could be Tiki's year. If he gets going like he did in the final game, he could give the Eagles fits.
Dallas 21, Seattle 20
I think the nerves might get to Romo in his first ever start in the playoffs. But he'll shake them off and throw for a few scores and keep the 'Boys in the hunt. I think this game and the KC-IND game should be the best first-round games.
So, the second round will be:
6 KC vs. 1 SD @ SD 4 NE vs. 2 BAL @ BAL
3 PHI vs. 2 NO @ NO 4 DAL vs. 1 CHI @ CHI

Hmm, I was 2 of 4 last week. I went for the two upsets in the NFC, didn't work out. Let's try and do better this week.
For the games this upcoming weekend...
AFC Divisional Playoffs New England Patriots (13-4) at San Diego Chargers (14-2) It ends here for New England (hopefully). The Pats have done a great job of stopping star players during their great run, but even if they neutralize Tomlinson, I think Rivers will step it up and pick the Pats apart. The Bolts have a solid D as well, and if Merriman and the rest of the defense can get to Brady, this one shouldn't be a problem.
Final Score: Chargers 24, Patriots 13
Indianapolis Colts (13-4) at Baltimore Ravens (13-3) Daaaaamn this one is a toughy. I really want to see Peyton finally break the jitters, but Baltimore has had the week to prepare and that defense will be absolutely ready to destroy him. The Colts better hope their defense can do something to keep McNair and Jamal Lewis busy, because they're not going to just shred the Ravens' defense.
Final Score: Ravens 14, Colts 10
NFC Divisional Playoffs Seattle Seahawks (10-7) at Chicago Bears (13-3) Seattle has never fully clicked since having Hasselbeck and Alexander sit out with injuries, and the Bears shouldn't make this a game. Grossman will really have to screw this up for them to lose.
Final Score: Bears 20, Seahawks 6
Philadelphia Eagles (10-7) at New Orleans Saints (10-6) I like the Saints here. They have too many weapons for the Eagles defense, and Lito Sheppard is out. I don't see the Eagles stopping Brees/Bush/Deuce/Colston. 'Nuff said.
Final Score: Saints 31, Eagles 17

0-4...haha
Pats over Chargers 23-20 Going to be the best game of the weekend
Colts over Ravens 17-13 Jamal Lewis just isn't good enough to run all over this Colts D and this defense is going to give up a little too much to Peyton and his receivers
Seahawks over Bears 27-14 Grossman.
Saints over Eagles 24-14 Plax times two in Horn and Colston + Henderson, Bush, and McAllister = long day for the Eagles D

Patriots 31, Chargers 24 I think this is the best game of the week. Tomlinson will get his 125-150 and 2-3 TD, but Rivers will turn the ball over at key points in the game, and Brady makes the Bolts pay.
Ravens 24, Colts 17 This is an intriguing matchup with the playmaking defense of the Ravens, and with Manning's 3 INT last week against the Chiefs, it makes you wonder what a better defense like the Ravens can do to him. Manning only throws one pick, but the Ravens get a late score to win it.
Bears 21, Seahawks 14 As much as I would like to see the Bears lose, it's not going to happen this week. Seattle just doesn't have the consistency on offense right now, and I think Grossman will do just enough to win.
Saints 31, Eagles 28 I think the Eagles will finally land here. Losing Sheppard hurts, but Philly keeps it close due to some big plays from Westbrook in the passing game. The Saints have too many playmakers, however. Bush might score two different ways in this game.
So, for the AFC:
(4) New England @ (2) Baltimore
NFC:
(2) New Orleans @ (1) Chicago
