Will a playoff game go by without people blaming a loss on the refs?
Probably not.

Is anyone else sick of the Patriots? There is not another team in the NFL than I hate but the freakin Patriots... If they beat Peyton, I hope Chitown kicks their ass. If they win another Super Bowl, it's going to be all the "DYNASTY DYNASTY DYNASTY" talk and it will get to be so annoying it is mentioned more than TO. I'd rather talk about a Pats dynasty than T.O. myself. He didn't say he'd rather talk about T.O., he is saying that T.O. is talked about a lot, and that the Patriots dynasty is talked about more than T.O. is talked about, and that it is annoying when they talk about it.

Just letting y'all know, but this AFC championship has been very entertaining. I mean, no defense what so ever, but fun to watch nonetheless.

Yeah....he was making a statement. Actually, let me re-state that...I meant I would rather they talk about a Pats dynasty than T.O., not myself talk about it personally. Carry on.

The Colts left too much time on the clock.

Yes, anyone on this site who has a pulse would have found this out.
Well, didn't think I'd be saying this, go Bears. Pats really blew that sucker. Anybody but Indy.

Gawd, the Dolts and the Bears in the Super Bowl.
That's a snoozer right there.
I'll take the Colts, but only because if the Bears win, we're never going to hear the end of it from Bears fans.

Who'd have believed Rex Grossman vs. Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl?
It would be so hilariously ironic if Grossman beat him.

Last time I checked, the Colts were one of the best teams in the league, and didn't they play at home tonight? Yes, that means they were better than the Patriots this season, so therefore, this is not a Cinderella story...

I was just about to post that. How are the Colts a Cinderella story?
The Saints were this year's Cinderella story, even though they lost.

A 21-3 comeback, I call that a Cinderella story, especially against the Pats

What the hell is up with the whole cinderella story deal. I mean each of the four teams claimed some sort of underdog no respect status this week.
That said, I'm glad Manning finally made it to the Super Bowl. He should have way more than 2 MVP awards, because without him the Colts are struggling to make .500. Chicago was the best in the NFC by far, and the Colts have been the best regular season team in the AFC for a while now. I think the Super Bowl will be pretty entertaining.

I don't call single-game comebacks CInderella stories under any circumstances.
I only consider something a Cinderella story if it plays out over a series of games.

I agree with David, it'll make for an interesting Super Bowl, hopefully. Pats Bears would've been brutal.

First off: Sorry Bama and anyone else who took offense to my first comment, didn't mean to gloat or anything, I was just really excited.
To be honest I really was worried before the game, the Saints are a great football team, and when they made a run on us to make it 16-14 I really felt they would end up winning the game.
That said, what a performance by the defense in this game, put to the test time after time, and came up with big turnovers to snuff out any comeback. The Saints played a fantasitc game for the first 40 minutes, but it seemed like they lost heart after the Safety.
Rex was what we needed him to be, mistake free. We didn't need him to pass for 300 yards, or 4 touchdowns, Defense and the groud game is what will win you games in the playoff's and I think there is no better example than today against the Saints.
Once again, I don't want to come off as some prick who is a huge homer, I'm not, I follow Football as a whole, and it's pretty much my life. But I don't even think it's hit me that the Bears will be playing in the Superbowl yet, I'm just amazed that despite the huge amount of media saying the Bears didn't have a shot, they win by 25 points against a really good team.
All I can say is, bring on the Colts. =)
And once again, my deepest appologies to anyone I have angered in the past, I really feel bad about it. DB, Loki, David, and anyone else I might have pissed off, I'm sorry, I've realized that this comunity is one of the best I have ever been in, and I have acted like an ass to some of you. I really hope we can get over our past differences, it would sadden me if we couldn't.

You have to realize how, let's say depressed I was after that game. As happy as you have to be, I felt like Alabama had just lost to Auburn again, and I never feel that unless the aforementioned event happens. No hard feelings on this end, and will be rooting for the Bears in two weeks.
It's going to be tough. The Saints, while being blown out, did outgain you guys. Just something to consider. The Colts get a lot more pressure on the quarterback, because the Saints have been trying to mask very poor DB play all season long. The key is keeping Rex calm, and being willing to take a few shots down the field. That's where he can really burn a team.
The Bears better get a new quarterback next year though, I just can't see that kid leading y'all back to the promised land again.
