Haha you threw me in there. Nah it's ok...damn Saints. Hey man, I said the Bears couldn't beat the Colts or the Pats earlier in the season; I was right about the Pats now let's see (and hope ) the Colts can take out the Bears. A Bears/Pats Super Bowl was a total no-watch for me...how boring that would've been.

Bama, trust me, I know what's going thru your head right now. I had to deal with this about two weeks ago. At least you can look forward to next year.

Give him time Bama, he's upside is worth it, bad quarterbacks dont' have the games he had when he was on, I'll admit that he is inconsistant, but it's too early to give up on a Quarterback of a Superbowl team.
Thats all I ask of you.
And I thought the only stat that mattered was the score at the end of the game. You cang outgain a team by 500 yards, but if you lose, does it really matter?

Rich Gannon and Kerry Collins can both watch and smile.... because Rex Grossman will break their Superbowl Record of 5 interceptions in the game.

Yeah because Rex has thrown that many picks this post season. He hasn't made the mistakes so don't expect Ron Turner to allow him the opportunity to do so again in the SB....
And what's with all this talk about "Bears getting creamated by the Pats" if that were the matchup?
Recall about 2/3 of the way through the season when Chicago went on the third leg of their east coast road trip and lost by four points in New England. Chicago lost because of Grossman in that game, the defense forced 5 turnovers. If they played again, I'm certain the results would be similar but not some complete domination like some of you have said.
David mentioned last page how all four teams have come in crying about a lack of respect and I'm fairly sure the Bears have that beef. All season it didn't matter who they beat or how bad they beat them, they were second class in the NFC. When Rex had a bad game, the whole team took the brunt of it....."OH MY GOD....THE BEARS SUCK!!"
Our defense coasted the last five games and everyone's saying "OH MY GOD...THE BEARS SUCK!!!" Then we take on Seattle, give up 100 yards to Shaun Alexander and we win....but it's still "OH MY GOD......THE BEARS SUCK!!!" They gave up 100 yards to last year's MVP!!!!!!
New Orleans comes to town....all of the analysts sit there and speak as if Chicago might as well stay home because that Nawlins' offense is gonna roll all over them. They forget about a hungry Chicago team that forced 45 turnovers this season............
The next two weeks, it's going to be all about Peyton Manning. No Bears...none of that. They're not sexy like Peyton is. Chicago is already a 7 point underdog...and the defense will simply have to bow down to Manning and the Colts.
You wanna talk about a last of respect all season, that's what the Bears have gone through.

You wanna talk about a last of respect all season, that's what the Bears have gone through. I think I could be one of the closest to understand what your going through, being a Ravens fan. The media attracts more to offense it seems, and when you have a great defense who really is supposed to lead the team and not the offense, it puts them as an underdog usually. The media is going to be all over this Peyton got past the arch rival Patriots story, and you wont hear a thing about the Bears. Almost as if the Colts-Pats game was your superbowl last night. I wont lie, I still doubt the Bears. I said it earlier in the season Rex's bad decisions would cost him in the playoffs, and so far they havent. But he still has one more game to go. Granted, this is probably the best shot he has against the Colts. I would take playing them over a Ravens, Pats, or Chargers defense anyday. The Bears defense stepped up at the right time though, because it did look as if McAllister and Bush would have their way with them running the ball. I think Rivera really got it into their heads to force turnovers, and you could see every play the defense attacking the ball trying to get it out. Good luck to both teams in the Superbowl, I think it should be a good game.

Oh no, I wasn't saying anything about it other than the yardage just seemed to suggest the Saints played very sloppy, and you won't likely see it against the Colts. You just aren't going to see four turnovers from the Colts, at least don't expect it. It's gong to be a very tough game. They are very beatable though, and the Bears are probably the only team in the NFC who could knock them off in the SB. Look, I've followed Grossman since his sophomore year under the Ole Ball Coach at Florida. He's just, not the guy I would want leading my team. He's got some potential, and I'm willing to eat my crow if he comes out and dominates next season. I just don't see it right now. Oh and I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Da Bears win the big game. It just feels right.

This is just so unreal to me, Bears in the Superbowl? I remember first watching the Bears durring the Dave Wannstedt era and thinking how terrible the Bears are, it's really amazing what Lovie has done in Chicago. I really hope the Front Office can come to terms with Loive, losing him would kill me.
I think in order to beat the Colts the Bears have to do what they did against the Saints, pound the ball, make plays when you need to, play mistake free football, and force turnovers, which the defense has done pretty regularly all season.
It will be a close game, but I'm a firm believer that the top defense beats the top offense in the playoff's.
Go Bears!

I am going to be mad to hear all of this over the next two weeks. Is it just me or when the Colts are winning it is all Peyton but when they lose it seems most people overlook him.

First off I would like to say I'm glad for the Colts and Bears.
I am pretty much a 2 sport guy and that being football and horse racing. I will NOT be watching this Super Bowl if all were going to be hearing is how this will be the first time a black man has won the super bowl. I'm not racist or anything but I don't think that Shannon Sharpe, and James Brown had to keep saying it over and over again.
I think it's racist when they do reports with Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith. We had to hear them ramble and say how they both want to be in the super bowl and how they want more black head coaches. Well why couldn't we get any interviews with Sean and Bill?
This Country needs to get a grip. I live in Miami where there is every race you can think of down here. The Black people call themselves the N word but when a white man does it they pull the race card. But when they call us a cracker, nothing gets said.
In short, I don't want to hear about the coaching stuff anymore. The media blows everything up.

They need to stop putting so much emphasis on color. It is two good coaches taking their teams to the Super Bowl. That is that. There is so much more to each man than the color of their skin but that is always the top thing. How about we talk about how Lovie Smith kept the faith in Rex Grossman? Or how about how Tony Dungy had to keep his players motivated even though they were down a ton of points at halftime?

It's real damn annoying in this day and age. Blacks are human just like whites, they just have a different skin tone. I guess the deep south must still not recognize that, because in the northeast where I've been, color is not an issue.

It's not an issue down here, at least to most people I deal with. We delt with segriagtion pretty early on, considering MLK did a lot of his work in Alabama. There are some racial tensions with the older generation here, I'll give you that, but really it's not the issue people want to make it. Oh and who cares if a black coach wins the Super Bowl? Are they at a disadvantage because they are not white? Don't think so, so this better turn into a non story or the Super Bowl is going to get annoying.

It's the fact that the league hasn't accepted black coaches in the NFL untill the past 10-15 years. The league is 75% black(guessing white players are QBs, Lineman and Kickers lol), but the coaches have always been white.
It's not a big deal, because a black man is doing a white mans work for the first time...
It's a big deal, because these two men have made history with their success as a head coach, and the white/black idea is finaly fading.
It's not racist media, it's almost like peace media... an end of an era.
