Cubbyfan, they made it to the Superbowl with the roster they have right now.... I still would like some consistent play. We would have our offense for 3 games then it'd disappear then come back again. Mainly I want to see some work done. We need to bring ina guy to make Rex play for his job.

If Briggs goes I think the Bears would sign Porter.

If Briggs goes I think the Bears would sign Porter. not if the falcons steal him first. im really hoping arthur blank gets his mind right and get either or both briggs and porter.

I think it's unlikely you get both. Isn't there a more pressing need at receiver? Although both are good, it would be foolish to blow cash on two linebackers when all you really need is one impact backer, and you can go get that receiver you need in FA (if available), or look through the draft.

It was reported in the Dallas Morning News that Joey Porter was likely to sign with the Cowboys, which makes a little more sense than with the Falcons. Briggs might happen though.... but you really need Stallworth, that should be number one on Blank's 'to do list'

sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Falcons-may-sign-Horn?urn=nfl,25751 well its looks like the falcons are close to getting joe horn, the former saints. i guess this will help but horn was slowed by a injury which never seemed to go away last year, so there is some concern that this could be just a wasted acquisition if its true. still even if we need help at wide reciever, i still think its too early to write off roddy white, and plus i still feel if we had a defense which didnt give up some many points and kept vick in a situation where he felt he had to get some kind of points every drive, that would be much better becuase even if we still have no passing attack we still got a great rush attack which is amougst the best in the league.

Horn's not the best out there (Stallworth), but it makes sense. A veteran presence around those younger receivers might make a difference.
I still think the Iggles get Stallworth back. Maybe.

i dont know if this could happen (becuase im not too sure of the terms they ended on) but could stallworth possibly replace horn and return to the saints?

I don't think it's likely. I think the Chiefs have a better chance of getting Stallworth than the Saints do, although stranger things have happened.

First off, Joey Porter outside of a 3-4 scheme will be suicide. He won't produce.
As for Stallworth, the Eagles and him have been talking. They don't want to give him the huge amount of guranteed money that he wants. With the injury concerns, there is legitimacy behind it. I think his best chances in this market are San Diego, Kansas City, Philadelphia, or some outside last second bid. If he went this long though, I wouldn't be surprised if he took less money to go back to Philadelphia like he wants. McNabb has publicly stated he is willing to re-structure his deal to get Stallworth back.
EDIT: Also, the Eagles front office may be unwilling to re-sign him because that would require an higher pick going to New Orleans from the deal that was originally made for Stallworth.

There's an outside chance that the Chiefs go for Stallworth, but with the re-signing of Huard and the the signing of LT Damien McIntosh from the Fins, Carl may not open the checkbook up much more this spring, especially with the draft coming up. Trent Green might still be traded, however, to clear up cap room for another FA, or for picks in the upcoming draft.

Another that slipped my mind was Miami. Stallworth did show interest in playing down there.

Travis Henry has signed with the Broncos, he'll probably take over for Tatum Bell who went to Detriot in the Bly trade. Henry may finally by able to recapture that magic he has witht he Bills in the pre-magahee era.

Thomas Jones is a guy I feel bad for. If he can get into a system that soley relies on him, he can be amazing. He was upset about having to share time with Cedric Benson. I don't know how this is going to work out for him in New York.
As for Chicago, I think they have a good game going with Benson. He can be productive if you ask me.

the Pats are reportedly pursuing WR Randy Moss. Not sure bout this move I doubt that Bill can handle his ego and attitude.

I think Bill can do it. He tamed Corey Dillon down from his Cincinnati days.
