I don't have an article or anything, but posters on both the IND and DAL RealGM message boards are saying Michael Finley has been traded to the Pacers. That would explain the stall in cutting him under the amnesty provision.

What a pickup for a team who just lost their #2 guard.
Any word on who Dallas is getting?

I've heard everything from Ron Artest to Austin Croshere. It's pretty much speculation at this point in time.

I'm skeptical until I hear something concrete on a site like RealGM or ESPN. However, if this is true, look out for Indiana next year >_<.

Yes... Good news for Pacer fans. Please, I beg and plead that they gave up both Austin and Ron. That' would releive them of some Salary Cap issues that keeps them from signing the Free Agents each year, as well as get rid of the headache. Problems solved. Well sort of.

I'm even more skeptical, the guy who reported this on RealGM boards doesn't really seem trustworthy. He can hardly even type.

That would explain the stall in cutting him under the amnesty provision. Don't even joke like that. I would love it if true. EDIT: Also, Ron isn't going anywhere. I would bet money on it. If it's a trade, I'd imagine it would include some combination of Freddy Jones, Scott Pollard, Jonathan Bender, and, I don't know. Someone else, maybe.

Bibby, you and I are going to have an interesting little rivalry this year. So let's start it now. Both the Pistons and Pacers appear to be competing for Finley's services, along with Miami and San Antonio. So we'll see what happens...

And I liked Jakiekicvius from his days with the Lithuainian bball Olymic team. If he were to sign with the Jazz, which was a strong possibiltity then I'd be a Jazz fan. Bibby, you and I are going to have an interesting little rivalry this year. So let's start it now. Both the Pistons and Pacers appear to be competing for Finley's services, along with Miami and San Antonio. So we'll see what happens... Nah, the Pacers have jumped out of the race, with their low salary cap room. The only thing now I can hope for is that the Pistons don't get him.

Either Detroit, Miami, San Antonio or Phoenix. Detroit, according to Stein, is the best fit - they can offer him the full MLE and starters minutes as the primary backup to both Hamilton and Prince. Miami is probably the other front-runner with the full MLE and a potential starting spot, but he probably wouldn't get as many minutes in Miami as he would in Detroit. San Antonio has only part of their MLE while Phoenix has only the veteran's minimum. So Miami and Detroit, the two best teams in the East, appear to be the frontrunners. Should be fun.
Also, bibby is trying to get a hold of Jasikevicius so they can go out on a date. Bibby is so overly obsessed with this guy.

DB, finally understands But In Miami he'd get more minutes, with Eddie Jones gone.

I think the possibility of playing in South Beach alongside the best center in the game is too appealing. Team chemistry notwithstanding, Miami has an incredible shot to win the NBA title next year (but they are nowhere near a lock), and I think Finley will end up there, personally. Although I would rather see Phoenix get him.
