[/li][li]Unreliable sources claim that the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, and Orlando Magic are nearing a massive four-team deal. Involved: Tracy McGrady and Kenyon Martin to the Lakers, Steve Francis to Houston, and Lamar Odom to Orlando. Don't buy into this one - it appears to be nothing more than a pipe dream. [/quote] i really hope that goes through McGrady and Bryant would literally fight over the ball in the middle of the game if they were on the same team

So, the Knicks have...
Stephon Marbury Steve Francis Jamal Crawford Quentin Richardson Nate Robinson Jalen Rose Qyntel Woods
...as their guards/forwards. Jamal Crawford will be somewhere other than New York within the next 24 hours, that I can assure you.

Reporting the status of the McGrady rumor, obviously not happening. Francis is now a Knick.
Reporting the status of another rumor that broke last night - The Knicks were rumored to be involved in "serious, ongoing discussions" with the Minnesota Timberwolves regarding Kevin Garnett. Penny Hardaway was expected to go to Minnesota along with Channing Frye. It looks as if any chance of that deal happening is now dead with Hardaway being traded to Orlando. However, there is still an EXTREMELY slim chance that NY can put together a package that satisfies salary cap rules that the T'wolves might consider. Don't expect anything, though.

On a local radio station I heard a rumor that Kevin Garnett might become a Maverick.
The trade would be
Mavs Get Kevin Garnett
Timberwolves Get Josh Howard Devin Harris Player to named
or
Mavs Get Kevin Garnett Trent Hassell
Timerwolves Get Josh Howard Marquis Daniels Keith Van Horn
I love Garnett, but I hate to see Howard go. But with Garnett we would have some one to at least give Duncan a challenge
Also I dont know how real this talks are, down in Dallas they think they have a shot at everyone.

I HIGHLY DOUBT the Mavs make a big change. They don't need to.

Avery would love this trade, because it brings in the one thing he wants, Defense. Hassell is a great defensive player, and should shut the other team down. Also Garnett would take the duty of guarding Duncan during Mavs, Spurs games. That has been giving the Mavs some troubles.
I agree with you, the Mavs are on a roll right now, so why change. But in Avery's eyes this trade is great.

I doubt it happens though. These trades are just too complex to get done in 24 hours...

2 trades went down today, neither one earth-shaking. One of the most boring deadlines in recent memory.

There's still the possibility that trades haven't been announced yet.

WRONG! But not a major one. Brian Skinner to Portland, and according to Sixers chairman Ed Snider, Lee Nailon is on the move. Nothing major though.

Wow, I didn't know that. I thought after 3 PM ET, no more trades were going down- everything is done. So after the Sonics trade I was like 'one trade? wtf? ?' Hopefully more good trades come up. Im also waiting to see if the Hornets trade J.R. Smith.....

JR Smith is most likely going to the Magic for Mario Kasun and Tony Battie.
And as for the deadline, teams can trade up to midnight.

how did you here about the tony battie thing? If Orlando was to do it, they would definitely have to start Millic and will have to find a backup center or forward. Also, I am waiting to see what happens to Mr. Al Harrington.
