Ya for one goddamn series, get over it, you were a canes fan for one series, and no one made a big deal about that.

Look, you are the LAST person in the world I want to deal with right now and I took your original comment the wrong way, so settle down and never talk to me again. Good deal.

You're right, I'm not. We were the most dominant team in the NBA this season and it was championship or bust.
I probably wouldn't be so bitter if we'd have actually showed some effort and played the right way, but we didn't. This series was disgusting to watch. I didn't even feel this lousy after the San Antonio series last year.

It hurts so bad for the first 3 days. Trust me. When is the last time Toronto has one a major sports championship. The Jays in 1993 (which I was too young to remember), the Leafs in 67 and the Raptors.......winning...that.....draft lottery....that's about it. For the past eight years, my Leafs have been humbled in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. I do realize this is the NBA board...but my point is the same. There's nothing you can do but turn on Pistons talk on the radio tonight (I do this every single NHL playoffs) and listen to the call-in fans bitch and moan. It really really helps. Then hit up some message boards and whine with them for a day or two...even if you don't regularly post.
After letting it all out with total strangers working towards a common goal, you realize that life isn't so bad. It's gonna be a great NBA finals; the Pistons will, in fact, put their uniforms back on next year and play basketball again; you also don't have an STD.
So, curl into fetal position for the time being and as a winning team fan, just remember in a couple days, you'll be full out cheering for the Tigers again.
Oh wait you said don't give you sympathy.........well....yeah....sorry. If you want a shoulder to cry on, my electronic one is right here for you *sniffle*.

Finally, a Finals matchup that actually seems exciting, where both teams will shoot the ball over 40%...

But you can include the Buffalo Destroyers (AFL) and Buffalo Blizzard (Soccer) too. The Buffalo Bison (AAA team) have won twice since 1998... but I think Buffalo may be one of the least successful cities...

The Dallas Mavericks are in the NBA Finals. Time for predictions!
Dallas over Miami in 6. I don't see Shaq playing like a 28 year old again. I also see Nowitzki owning Walker (if they don't put Shaq on him).
Should be an entertaining series, and I'll be rooting for the Mavs...obviously.

Miami is just to damn good....nobody on the Mavs will stop D-Wade, just like the Pistons.....I just found it hard to believe that the Suns got killed as hard as they did in the 2nd half, looked like a game 7 till a 40 point 4th Q... btw Miami in 5 Are you kidding me, this is just plain stupid. The Mavs completly owned the heat in the season winning both games against them. Winning game one 103-90, and game 2 112-76. Winning both games by a combined score of 39 points.

Yeah he played the second game.
Also I think Josh Howard can do a decent job containing D Wade. Also who is going to stop Dirk, he's been on fire, and so far is the best player in the Playoffs. Also Jason Terry and Devin Harris is better then Jason Williams and Gary Payton. Also Josh Howard is better then Haslem.
They way I see it is that the Mavericks have 3 out of the 5 matchs ups and have a very good chance of winning it. Saying Heat in 5 is pretty dumb.

Its his opinion, and mine too, just in 6. So you cant tell us are opinions are wrong, cause opinions arent a right or wrong subject. Sure your a mavs fan, but just because we think the other team will win doesnt mean that we are wrong.

Im not saying that they are wrong, but I dont think that the Heat will take it in 5. The Mavs are too strong of a team to lose in 5.

I actually consider the Mavs better than the Pistons, so yeah. I think Detroit is on its last leg.
Still saying Dallas in 7.

One, Gary Payton is one of the best defenders in the league, he is better than Terry and Harris....who is gonna stop Shaq? Of late he has turned it on big time... There is no way Josh Howard can stop Wade.....Rip Hamilton Chauncy Billups and Tayshun Prince couldn't slow him a bit, to say that Howard can stop him is just plain stupid.....One player can't win every game for you....and Dirk won't do it.... Really Dallas hasn't depended on one player. If you watched the games, you would notice that Josh Howard was a beast this whole series. Also Dallas is 25-0 when Howard scores 20, and really I dont see Haslem or Wade stoping him. Also they have NO BODY to stop Dirk. Shaq is way to slow, and Walker just isnt up to the task. Shaq will be great, but not as good as Dirk. Diop could get a few stops on him like he did on Duncan in overtime of Game 7 against the spurs. You really need to watch out for Diop because he has been the unsung hero for Dallas this postseason.

Mavs in 6, more likely 5. Drik averages over 30 and Howard over 20. If Dallas can beat the best offense in the league, there's no way they'll lose to an offense that is great, but not even at the Suns level.
ASM, where the hell have you been. Desagana Diop isn't an amazing defender, but he is pretty damn good, and if he plays aggressive enough, could stop Shaq. And like longhorn said, Howard has been scoring a lot too. He scored over 20 points four times in the Suns series. Then when you have Terry/Stackhouse/Harris getting over 40 a game combined as well, you have the best offense in the league.
You wanna talk about an imbalanced offense ASM? Wade and Shaq are the only ones averaging more than 13 PPG, while the Mavs have four that have done so. Wade will have a great series, but when the rest of our teammates aren't even getting double figures to help you, with the exception of Shaq and probably Antoine, an offense as good as the Mavs will overcome that easily.
Then there's rebounding, which I think will play a major role. The Mavs have been outreboudning their opponents by more than 6, and have four guys that can get over 5.5 a game. The Heat have two, and have only been outrebounding opponents by just over 2 boards. Then factor in that the Mavs turn the ball over less than 12 times, while the Heat turn it over more than 15.
So yeah Mavs will win...
