The lottery just finished and here's the order. Remember, the Blazers had the worst record.
1- Toronto 2 - Chicago 3 - Charlotte 4 - Portland 5 - Atlanta 6 - Minnesota 7 - Boston 8 - Houston 9 - Golden State 10 - Seattle 11 - Orlando 12 - New Orleans 13 - Philadelphia 14 - Utah
This is a good spot for Toronto and hopefully they draft Tyrus Thomas or LaMarcus Alrdige. They're have a bright future.

8.8% chance of getting the 1st pick was Toronto

With Bosh, Graham, and Charlie why would they draft Thomas or Aldridge?

A point guard might make more sense in their situation

Hey, that's just my opinion. I think Morrison is overrated and I don't know a point guard worth being taken numero uno.

True, there really isnt any PG that should be taken #1, but I would rather see them draft for need rather than the best player available.

Well maybe they can make Bosh the center, put Villanueva at the power forward slot, and draft Tyrus to make him a small forward. But like Joey Graham, the two will need work. If they go Alridge, he can be the team's center meaning Bosh and Villanueva will be forwards.

They tried Bosh at center and it didn't work. And Tyrus Thomas is far from a SF... trade down for Rudy Gay or Brandon Roy is what I'd expect them to do. Maybe throw Mike James in there with a sign-and-deal...
And Aldridge can't play center in the NBA. He struggled against bigger guys in college, so there's no way I see him being able to match up with a guy 7 foot tall.

Tyrus Thomas needs to bulk up a little, but his skills don't come close to translating to the 3. Putting him there would be a waste of talent.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them move down....Morrison or Gay could probably be had at 3 or 4. Last I checked, Atlanta was in the market for a big...heck, even moving down to 7ish and taking Randy Foye for the backcourt wouldn't be bad.

They also had a 50% chance of NOT winning. Last year 5 teams had better chances to win than Milwaukee. The lottery is just that - completely random. Anyone can win.
EDIT: They didn't have a 50% chance. They had 25%, just like every other top lottery team of the past...

There's not a lot of talent at the top of the draft. I think it's a fairly deep draft, just not a lot talent that stands out...
Kinda like 2001

Actually, Atlanta had the worst record at 13-69, 5 games worse than New Orleans's 18-64.

Words cannot express my pleasure.
Canada - 1 America - 0
But seriously, I'd even love Adam Morrison and make him a SF...Tyrus Thomas probably has the most upside, whereas Aldridge is so much like Bosh, I don't think he'd fit in. People said that Charlie V was like Bosh...but when you think about it, he lit it up with 3's and played less of a "pro hop", quick game. Aldridge on the other hand uses that quickness and has basically the same frame as Chris.
So in the end...I'd like Thomas, Morrison or a trade down for Brandon Roy. I was planning on Roy until we got this pick...
Regardless...with Colangelo running the helm, the future is bright.

Out of all the lotteries, you get a score of 1-0?
More like a bajillion-1.

The Raptors won't let Rudy Gay fall past their selection. If it means taking him with the first pick, they'll do it.
All I can hope for is a #13/Dalembert/future-first deal that nets the Sixers #1. Won't happen, but Toronto's shopping that pick and anyone will talk.
