Details never really hurt. "They were having their way with us," Knicks coach Isiah Thomas said. "I think J.R. Smith had just made one dunk when he reversed and spun in the air. And I think Mardy didn't want our home crowd to see that again. So he fouled him." Anthony rushed in and pushed Robinson in the neck, triggering the roughest moment, when Robinson and Smith went flying into the stands while fighting with each other. Anthony also appeared to throw a punch at Collins, and then backed away toward the center of the court. New York's Jared Jeffries ran from the baseline toward Anthony, but was tackled by a Denver player. The brawl stretched to the other end of the court toward the Nuggets' bench before coaches and security finally pulled Smith away and restored order. Marcus Camby, Andre Miller, Eduardo Najera, Smith and Anthony were the Nuggets who were ejected; Channing Frye, David Lee, Collins, Robinson and Jeffries were the Knicks who were kicked out. www.cbs.sportsline.com/nba/gamecenter/recap/NBA_20061216_DEN@NY

Carmelo, what a pussy. Punch and run The weird thing I think about about is why this is such a big deal. In a hockey game this probably happens more than 3 times a game in scrums in front of the net. One guy got tackled and another guy got punched. I don't see why all 10 guys even got thrown out of the game.

Damn, this is why i am losing interest in the NBA. David Stern changin the rules and now another brawl- i rather watch college hoops. Denver clearly started the whole ordeal but now the Knicks are going to be atttacked by the media because, well, they're the KNICKS. I am disappointed in Carmelo too becuase yeah, he is fixing up his image but now everyone will think of him as a gangsta playa who grew up in a rugged Baltimore county- this is suppose to be the guy that little kids will admire and alongside LeBron and Wade, lead the NBA to a bright future.
Oh well, at least Marbury held his ground.

Not very rugged gangster to me.

How on earth do you think Denver started?
Ya, taking off a guys head while they are up big with a minute left... thats real smart.

One guy got tackled and another guy got punched. I don't see why all 10 guys even got thrown out of the game. Hockey players wear pads and helmets and gloves. When they fight, they don't spill onto a bunch of reporters and cameramen. Only once or twice a year do you actually see a brawl last as long as the one that went on last night. And all 10 guys were ejected because the referees couldn't possibly determine who was at fault and who wasn't. If they just chose who they thought they saw, they'd probably screw up and you'd be all over them for not ejecting a player the refs missed.

You're right, but it seemed dumb to me how everyone got ejected. If anyone other than Carmelo, Nate Robinson, and whoever commited the foul get suspended that would be dumb.

Nene left the bench (automatic suspension), Jared Jeffries and JR Smith fell into the front row seats fighting each other
They shouldn't get suspended?
NBA has to hand out AT LEAST 5 suspensions here.
