Hated A-Rod since he left Seattle for more money, that bastard. I am guessing close to $1 mil on that ball. Call me crazy, but someone is stupid enough to pay that much for it.

I hope Bonds gets caught, is striken from the record books, A-Rod decides to retire and no one breaks it and Hammerin' Hank stays the all-time leader...but I live in a world where I don't need Walgreens

All Pete Rose's career marks are still there. Oh and ASM, come on. If you were offered $252M, don't even try and tell me you wouldn't take it.

Or it would just be good for a smaller team to stand a chance against the Boston/New York type teams of this league.

I really don't like Bonds and I really was hoping for a sniper, but really there is nothing we can do. So why complain? Nothing is going to happen, Barry will always cheat the system, he will always be a dick, and he will be declared the home run king* until someone beats it. So I think if you are an anti bonds person, I think you should just let him have his moment, and just quietly root for A-Rod.

Really though, don't look at it as your seeing a guy on steroids. It's still the MLB All Time Home Run Record. Nothign is bigger than it in American sports. He may cheat, but he's not the only one. He can still hit a 95 mph fastball. I know that I would at least run like a bitch from one.

Agh, Barry hit the homer off of my team. Now our pitcher Matt Bascik is forever famous as the guy who gave up the record breaking homer. I watched the game too and was about to turn it off before Barry hit the homer- glad i didnt.
At least my Nats got the win.

Well I don't see why you're so concerned, considering you didn't even get the pitcher's name right. Hey, it's not like he's ever going to get famous for anything else, he may as well embrace it.

Bstn's right, regardless of whether Barry took steroids or not, he still needed skill to hit the ball and he still needed to put the work in to gain that muscle. Last I checked, just taking steroids didn't get you anywhere.
Also, nothing has been proven so no one can really say anything.

Glad to see it, and was impressed with Hank Aaron's little video thingy. Bud Selig has look like an ass thorugh this whole thing though. The man has never been proven to use roids', yet Selig barely gives a golf clap when Bonds ties the record. He's a joke.
It's cool to be able to tell our children one day that we got to see one of the best who ever played the game play, and got to see the biggest record in sports be broken. Sure ARod will probably break the record, but we still got to watch history and an amazing ballplayer play the game. Even if he is a dick.

Did he even do that much? All I think he did was look like a retard. Other than breaking what is suppose to be the most revered record in sports...yeah he did nothing. I just think what I would have looked like breaking that record. It probably would have invovled some sort of nudity, cocaine, and a friendly filipino lady named Chan Lee. All there, in the public eye.
