Only one Flame Actually, they're all flamers...go Canada. Just kidding. No, but I'm disappointed that Jeremy Roenick and Brian Leetch were left off. I know the U.S is going for the youth approach, but these are two key players who can't be left off. Aaron Miller? Are you kidding me?

Aaron Miller? Are you kidding me? Actually, Aaron Miller is a very solid defensive defenseman. The Avs were actually very reluctant to give him up back when they traded for Rob Blake. And I think the defense and goaltending for the U.S. is going to do fine, but i'd be worried about the offense. Tkachuk and Modano are over the hill and Erik Cole is flaky. Nothing more than decent on the front lines.

I'm glad Esche is on the roster. He's a good keeper (or goalie).

Miller or John-Michael Liles are the weak links for me.

I think we can do good. Hey, lets see another Miracle On Ice. That was so much different. We had a bunch of college kids against Russia's best squad.

I know, but we will need a miracle. It would revive hockey, maybe.

Leaving Leetch off altogether might not have been the best move though. I would've left Chelios off, but that's just me.

The key word there is "someday"...I have no doubt that Liles will be a star someday, and Aaron Miller may continue to improve...the fact of the matter is though, the Olympics are in 2 months. Liles will not be better than Leetch in two months. Perhaps it's just because I'm Canadian, so I'm not so quick to backing the U.S team...and when Canada chooses their team, I'll probably stand beside pretty firmly too (because no matter who we pick from our shortlist, we're going to blow you Yanks out of the water).

Extremely true. Our talent level just can't match up right now. And our biggest problem is that we haven't developed the type of stars that we had in the 90's. There are no more Modano's or Tkachuk's or Weight's. There may be some really good talent on the horizon, but it took us awhile to get to it.

Canada is gonna run away with this, we will be lucky to finish in the top 5 let alone medal.

I don't know much about international hockey, but from what I have read or heard I'd have to agree with Sep. Canada is greatly favored for the gold, and the US is expected to finish maybe 4th tops. They should go back to 80' and just put together a whole bunch of college boys, and work them so hard that they would hate themselves if they didn't win.
