I really don't think these teams can win on the road. Buffalo always plays its best at home, and Philly probably has the rowdiest crowd in the league. I'm saying Buffalo in 7. But the one thing that I hated the most about that game was the penalty shot. I was so pissed when he just completely missed the damn net. Oy, I'll stop now before I get to upset, but that was a great game to watch, and I'm sure that it definiteily gave at least a few Flyers fans some chills late in the game.
Come on Sabres, let's get Game 5!

so DB the oiler have no chance in this series. BTW your fans suck they staring leaving with 2 minutes left and continued to leave after zetterberg made it a one goal game with 20 seconds left. Pitiful.

cooljay, calm down. Don't hate on the fans. You guys have been amazing so far this year. If you weren't so unlucky in the 1st game in that double OT game, you guys would have been up in the series. Don't get all aggressive on people, and just enjoy the series...

That Sabres-flyers game was great. Esche played amazing, but Briere made a couple nice plays. 3-0 Sabres. I hope they finish it off in 6, but I have a feeling I'll have to wait for game 7...

So I just told just said that's kinda weird he thinks that considering we more or less dominated game 5. And why should I not hate on the fans? It absolute BS to leave a playoff game with 2 minutes left let and then continue to leave depsite your team scoring to put them within 1 wth 20 seconds left.

Tell me the next time a team scores 2 goals in a 20 second span at the end of the 3rd period to beat a playoff team and I'll give it to ya... Anywho, Go Sabres. And now I think I wouldn't mind seeing San Jose in the Finals. An exciting team with the best player in the league would be great...

I recanted my statement! I said I underestimated the Oilers! Sue me!
That 3rd goal tonight wasn't a goal, he kicked it in. I dunno what they were looking at.

well take your complaints to NHL offices, that is the recorded score whether it should have counted or not, the Wings give up 2-0 lead in 3rd period.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. I thought they were going to reverse it after the game and make them play game seven. I'm just saying, it DID count, but it shouldn't have. We played a pitiful 3rd period and didn't deserve the series. We need a goaltender. Badly.

Ouch, sorry DB. I was watching this game and watched quite the mo-town meltdown (which is a slight play on words)...capped off by a cheap call.
The Oilers are unfortunately my favourite teams outside my beloved Leafs, so no shoulder to cry on from this end...I just felt bad.

that goal was a legal goal because you can clearly see that the puck was by hemsky left knee which it hit off the leg (without a kicking motion) then it fell and it landed onto legace's glove and rolled down. Hemsky definately did kick it and i think it funny because red wings fans just won't man up and say they lost. They have always blame it on something and infact now its a LEGAL goal that they think was kicked in but most definately wasn't.
Sharks for Cup!...anyways

Wait are you serious. Lindstrom pushed Hemsky into the net. There's nothing Hemsky could have done. The rule is, if you're pushed by a defensemen and it hits off your skate, it's still a goal, assuming he didn't make a kicking motion (which he clearly didn't do). And I don't think it was a high stick either. To me it looked even with the crossbar at highest (although I never saw a clear enough angle to bank on it) and that's unreversable when they review it anyways.
But Detroit completely blew it on the 2nd Hemsky goal. He got by 3 guys before the puck finally got knocked loose, and then nobody followed him to the net.
And cooljay, I guess I can understand why you were so harsh about Redwings fans. Although it's still not called for, your fans were going freakin crazy. I was ready for people to start charging the ice after that tying goal, and then Hemsky's second... just damn. Probably one of the best games I've seen so far in this playoffs. I'll admit I was secretly hoping for a Redwings goal at the end of the 3rd with the goalie pulled to see it in OT, cause that would have been sick.
Anywho, looks like Buffalo is ending it tonight. The Drury-Roy-Grier line has hooked up twice (2 goals and 4 assists out of those 3 combined) and it's 3-0 at intermission...
