Yes, we really saw how great the Rangers were last year too right? When they tanked the last five games to lose the division and then get swept by the Devils. Go ahead and criticize Miller all you want. His team didn't get outscored 17-4 in the first round. It's funny how Miller played two more games in his first round series and still let up less goals. Then 12 goals in 5 games in the 2nd round. Mind you, this is against Philadelphia, who has a beastly Gagne-Forsberg-Knuble line and the top-scoring Senators. Not the Devils, who's offense is nowhere near the echelon of the two teams the Sabres faced.
Lundvqist, in my mind, will always be a 1-A goalie. Sure he's got plenty of time to improve, but I don't think he has "it" like Brodeur and Roy. Maybe he will be great, but he sure isn't there yet. Ryan Miller might not even be, but he's certainly farther along than Lundvqist, and you laughing at me for thinking Ryan Miller, who has more shutouts in the post-season than wins Henrik has total in April is a joke.

HAHAHAHA Miller farther then Lunqvist you crack me up. Sure I guess being in the top 5 in basically every Goalie category as a rookie means nothing

Uh do I need to bring up Jim Carey?
Lundqvist and Miller still have alot to improve upon, and Lundqvists stats look better because he was the undisputed #1 goalie on his team. The Sabres have 2 quality starters, so Miller didn't see 100% of the action until the playoffs, where he was a major part in getting the Sabres within one win of the Finals.
One season of good regular season stats doesn't automatically make you elite, just ask Jim Carey. I think he's washing cars somewhere (not really, but you get the point). Lundqvist needs to step up his game in the playoffs, which if he was elite, he would've done last year when Jagr went down to an injury.
So, yes, Miller is farther along than Lundqvist. He's more experienced, older, a better playoff performer and he seems to have more poise when it matters, unline Lundqvist and the Rangers who, as Briere mentioned, collapsed when it mattered.
Miller>Lundqvist

And don't get me started on Prucha. He's solid, sure, but take away his czech buddies and no one knows who he is. Of course, a big season this year could disspell that but if Jagr puts up MVP-type numbers again, who will be able to tell?

Just some comments I'd like to make on the season... Lundqvist looked like trash against the Flyers a couple nights ago... just saying... Speaking of the Flyers, they look like absolute trash. Asides from the Rangers game, it's been pretty damn ugly. Nittimaki is headed for a real sucky year if he keeps this type of play up, the offense is horrid, and the defense still isn't fast enough. Also, I heard that Forsberg went 7th in that marathon shootout because when Hitchcock told him to shoot as one of the first three guys, he told him off, until Hitch finally forced him to go, which he missed. If this guy wants to be captain of a team that's in desperate need of an early turn around, he better be a bit more enthusiastic or something about it. It's nice to see teams like Columbus and Atlanta doing well for once, even if it is the first few games. Even Chicago, with Handzus and Havlat look good. Unlike the NBA, where the Hawks and Warriors are forever at the cellar, the NHL at least has teams mixing it up a little. Finally, Buffalo is the only true unbeaten team in the Eastern Conference (Atlanta and Montral have OT losses) and look well on their way to going to the Stanley Cup

I love Buffalo but dont get to hyped about it. Season means nothing, talk to last years Senators. And by teh way, your win against the habs was a "lucky" one. Briere hooked but the refs didnt see nothing, then he comes back and score a goal. But Buffalo looks by far the best out there.
And besides that. Forsberg did not want to shoot cause his stick was broken. He took Randy Robitalle's one and missed.

Lundqvist had the one weak goal(1st one) but he did not look like trash.

And don't give me that crap about Forsberg's stick. Even if he didn't have a stick left, it's not like he couldn't get another one, so I don't know why he would refuse to shoot, unless if he was superstitious or something. Sorta baffles me. Sabres and Wings tonight baby. Nothing would please me more than scoring half a dozen on Hasek...

That is odd about Forsberg. Most guys I would imagine carry 4-5 sticks on the bench, so it had to be something else. And as for the regular season meaning nothing, I wouldn't go that far but the Wings and Sens should know plenty about it not meaning as much as some think.

Speaking of the Wings, the Sabres beat them in a shooutout. Buffalo is now 3-0 in shootouts baby, 4-0 overall!
