I am a little confused with Ken Hitchcock getting the axe this early in the season. As for Bob Clarke, I think it was time. I really like him, but when he said he didn't understand the new NHL rules in this past off-season, I knew we would not get the personel we needed.

I don't understand it either. It is a long season anything can happen.

John Stevens is taking over so it is not that bad. He coached the Flyers AHL affliate the Phantoms to a Calder Cup title a few years ago and a few of those players are on the roster now.

I'll give Stevens his due, as I think he will fill in alright, but I still stand by my statement that Ed Snyder is the worst owner in hockey. He pretty much created this mess with his interventions in the organization for years, and now when his bad decisions finally overcome the over-achieving, he points the finger at somebody else.
While Bob Clark was a bad GM, the time to fire him was 3 years ago. And I wish Hitch the best. Hopefully he gets another job quickly and can help rebuild a team much like he did the Flyers when they were on the brink of falling out of playoff contention...

Safe to say the Flyers are in turmoil right now.

Are we forgetting about "Dollar" Bill Wertz in Chicago? When was the last time they were a success? Getting swept by the Penguins in '92?

Jesus that hug made it seem like they were about three seconds away from tearing each others clothes off and getting it on right there. Nice goal though.

Nashville should focus on their division first. They're not quite there yet, bud.

That post should be changed to "He, who is leading the worst division in the west?"
The Western Conference Champion is coming out of one of three teams in the Pacific... or possibly Minnesota from the Northwest.
And anyways, Nashville has not looked cup-worthy at all. They've been a disapointment in my mind. At least with Detroit you knew what you had: a pretty decent product that could be a Top 4 seed when they're clicking.

Write this down: New York Islanders for the Stanley Cup.....in 3006. Anyways, the West's best team is San Jose, hands down. The most complete, anyways.
But who cares? The way the Sabres are rocking ass, it's not like its going to matter.
