Al Davis gambles Raiders... and losesNew team namedSmooth move Al, smooth move.Over his time as owner of the Oakland Raiders, Al Davis did wonders, but all that ended earlier today as he gambled away not only his team, but also his players. The winner of the Raiders and all of it's players had no comment on what he planned to do with his winnings but one question remained, Will there be a new team? The new owner of the franchise, bdes, spoke on what he thought of the whole ordeal, "I think it's a great thing, I have signed players that played D-III,D-IIII and all other places where football is played. We have a ... somewhat, dec- we have a football squad." Later in the interview the name came out, the Utah Hogs. The Hogs will have a lot of work to do and it will be interesting to see who is on the team, and how they will stack up against the NFL's best.

The Who?The Utah Hogs make their NFL debutHogs keep it close early... But quickly fall behind.Salt Lake City, Utah (AP)--- The city of Salt Lake was woken today with a huge boom as their new team, the Utah Hogs, took the field.
The 42-14 score doesn’t truly tell how the game went as for nearly two full quarters the Hogs were in it and even had a surprising 14-7 lead.
Utah’s quarterback Derek Donaldson lead his Hogs with two passing touchdowns and 234 yards. “It felt great to be out there again. I was out in free agents being ignored for four years and I just let everything out.” Donaldson said after their crushing defeat. The Hogs weren’t the least bit disappointed after being crush, the predictions to this game were worse then what the outcome was. Some predictions ranged from nearly 100-0.
“I was surprised on how hard they came out on us the first half, we were beyond doubt up on our heels.” This Sundays stud Tatum Bell remarked. Bell rushed for 148 yards on 19 carries.
The Hogs go on the road next Sunday to take on the 1-0 Denver Broncos.PASSING ATT-COMP-YDS-TD-INT DET J. O’Sullivan -9-13-162-4-1 UTH D. Broncos walk over HogsCutler and Marshall hook up 3 times for 3 touchdownsBrandon Marshall teared it up with 145 yards and 3 TD'sDENVER –45 UTAH - 7 Denver, Colorado (AP)--- Once again the Hogs go down, but this time it was much harder. The Broncos passing game seemed nearly unstoppable in the first half as they scored four touchdowns through the air, three to Brandon Marshall and one to Tight End Daniel Graham. Cutler ended the game 8 for 11 with 262 yards, 4 touchdowns and one interception.
Utah had no positives from this game; their defense looked miserable throughout the whole game. The only bright spot for the Hogs is the Derek Donaldson to “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey duo. The two connected four times for 87 yards and a touchdown.
“I was out there with the leagues best, and in my mind I won the battle with Champ (Bailey). He is nothing in my eyes and I in no way am scared to match up with him.” Fancy said following their loss. Kindrey leads his team with 9 receptions and 181 yards averaging 90 yards a game.
The Hogs will hope for a better result, as they will take on the Cleveland Browns at home next Sunday.

What nice guys Hogs desperate enough to give felon a chanceClarett looked good at practice, but that doesn't mean much looking at Utah's defense.Salt Lake City, UT (AP)--- Monday after the Hogs 45 to 7 loss to the Denver Broncos bdes knew he had to do something to help the struggling Utah Hogs so he travel to Toledo, Ohio to visit ex-Buckeye, Maurice Clarett. “In my eyes this kid looked like he wanted to start over. We talked for about an hour, we decided that I would bail him out of his cell if he promised me that he would stay clean. I trust this kid,” owner bdes explained at a press conference held this Wednesday, “we then agreed to a one year deal to see how things work out.” Clarett practiced with the Hogs Thursday and Friday. It is not said if he will play this Sunday or even stay clean. It’s a toss up. “He fits in well with all of us, I hope he can bring that extra step on the field that can possibly win us a game.” Quarterback Derek Donaldson said, “We will just have to see how things go.”

Defense Loses GamesHogs poor defense lets up nearly 400 yards of total offenseJamal Lewis looked like a man among boys with 4 TDs.CLEVELAND – 45 UTAH – 14 Salt Lake City, UT (AP)--- The thirty-one point defecate doesn’t explain how truly close this game was. The Hogs new look offense played to its full potential and watched their defense slowly pull the game away from them as their record goes to 0-3. “Yes, it is not easy to watch our defense let up nearly 300 rushing yards, but there is nothing I can do about it. We play as a team, so as a team we let up nearly 300 yards on the ground. I mean there is nothing we can do about it, Jamal (Lewis) played a great game.” Derek Donaldson said after the game. Jamal Lewis is undoubtedly the stud of the game rushing for 261 yards on 19 carries and 4 touchdowns. “Four touchdowns… Four touchdowns… That’s unacceptable. Our defense played awful out there. They took our chance of winning away.” “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey exclaimed. “It’s not fair to the offense when we are working our ***es off and then we come to the sideline and watch us get dismantled out there.” The Hog’s defense did not play good at all but the other side of the ball seemed to play like they never have before. The addition of Maurice Clarett obviously helped out the passing game as well as the running game. He rushed for 63 yards while Derek Donaldson threw 239 yards with a nearly 50 percent average. The Hogs seem to be getting the hang of things so we will have to see how they match up to the Miami Dolphins. HOG STATS QB Derek Donaldson – 14 for 31 with 239 yards a TD and an INT QB Sam Hendricks – 1 for 4 for 4 yards and a INT HB Maurice Clarett – 16 carries for 63 yards HB Amos Tyson – 7 carries for 9 yards and a TD WR “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey – 5 catches for 101 yards WR Quincy Franks – 4 catches for 67 yards and a TD CB Leon Dorsey – 4 tackles SS Marquez Russell – 3 tackles

Familiar SceneThe Hogs lose big… once againChris Williams snags a pass right in front of Ginn to keep the game hopes still high while he could.Miami, FL (AP)--- In a game where in the second quarter there was one a 3-point difference the final score sure does not show it. In the first quarter the Utah Hogs looked like any other NFL team. They were playing both sides of the ball, offense and defense. But immediately in the second quarter it all ended after a 75-yard pass from Trent Green to Marty Booker. From there it only got worse. “It was one of the worst game I have ever played,” Derek Donaldson sadly explained, “I just wasn’t playing like myself. I already apologized to my teammates in the locker room and I promise it will never happen again.” Donaldson threw three picks on 60 throws. “To be honest, I thought we had it,” bdes said with a smile on his face, “I thought it was going to’ be our first ever win. We have a bye next week and we will be sure to work on our defense and our passing game. We will be ready for the Chargers next week.” Even with bdes’s positivity the Hogs should expect another butt whooping as they travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers. “If you look at the stats, we are not even doing that bad. I mean the only categories we are ranked last in are rush offense and rush defense. We are 6th in the league in our pass offense. 6th!” owner bdes happily said. HOGS STATS QB Derek Donaldson – 24 for 60 with 258 yards and 3 INTs, 10 yards on 2 carries HB Maurice Clarett – 22 yards on 11 carries, 9 catches for 107 yards FB Michael Sitrin – 7 catches for 43 yards WR “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey – 3 catches for 61 yards K Raeshon Grandmont – Made from 31 OLB Patrick Tyson – 4 tackles and 1 sack CB Leon Dorsey – 3 tackles CB Chris Williams – 1 INT

Why do we have a team?Donaldson throws 8 INTs in crushing defeatQuentin Jammer picks off one of Donaldsons' 8 and takes it to the house for six.UTAH – 7 SAN DIEGO - 55 San Diego, CAL (AP)--- Time have been tough for the Hogs the last couple of weeks and it seems they have just gave up. After the 55-7 massacring the Chargers put on the Hogs this Sunday it seems most of the players simply gave up. “3 Interceptions is a big number, but 8? 8? 8 Interceptions is absolutely horrible. Has that ever been done before?” Fancy was furious after the game. “Once again I gave it all I had, I had an 80 yard touchdown run for our first and only touchdown of the game. I mean come on did you see that catch? That was amazing.” Fancy had 118 yards on 5 catches. His 80-yard touchdown run was the turning point of the game and put it at a 14-7 game. But once again Utah’s defensive woes costed their one possession game. The defense let up 395 yards including a 185-yard, 2 TD game for Philip Rivers and a 236 yard 3 TD game for LaDainian Tomlinson. Donaldson refused to answer any questions from the press and did not seem happy after throwing 11 INTs in just two simple games. ”A big change will occur before we host the Chiefs next week, I guarantee it.” Owner bdes remarked when asked about what changes will be made. It seems all NFL fans are wondering why Utah even bothered putting together a football team this year, but bdes seems motivated. UTAH STATS QB Derek Donaldson – 13-42, 250 yards, 1 TD, 8 INTs HB Maurice Clarett – 12 carries, 14 yards WR “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey – 5 catches, 118 yards, 1 TD FB Michael Sitrin – 2 catches, 34 yards LB Patrick Tyson – 3 tackles, 1 sack DE Chris Morales – 2 tackles, 2 sacks

Week 7Winless Bills add depth to the Quarterback PositionBrooks was probabally never wanted so much in his career as he is now.Buffalo, NY (AP)--- Going into Week 7 without a win the Bills decided to dig into the Free Agent Pool only to find 8-year veteran Aaron Brooks. This Tuesday Brooks and the Bills negotiate a one-year deal worth $1.67M. “I’m already loving it here in Buffalo, and from what I am hearing I am going to have the nod to start this Sunday against the four and two Ravens.” Brooks said in a press conference held Friday. Allegations that contracts from Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, and Utah were offered were denied by Brooks saying, “Hey I don’t need to worry about any of that, I’m here where I want to be, Buffalo.”

Wins may be closer then they appearHogs stay with Chiefs for 3 quarters but eventually fall<Right>Backup QB Sam Hendricks (54 overall) playing... who cares our season can't be any worse. <Left> Chris Williams intercepts a pass in the endzone only to fumble seconds later.KANSAS CITY – 37 UTAH - 14 Salt Lake City, UT (AP) --- It was a rainy one Sunday for the new page in the Hog’s short history book. For the first time in the Hog’s history they actually stayed with a team for 3/4ths of a game. Things started good from the start by the Chiefs kicker, Justin Medlock, kicking the ball out of bounds on the opening kick. The Hogs drove it down the field but ended it with a punt. Something then happened that no Hog fan could predict, the Hogs defense forced a three and out. The ball then went to the Hogs and they drove it down the field yet again but this time to score the ballgames first points and to take the lead. Things continued great for the defense until Fancy Kindrey muffed a punt giving the Chiefs excellent field position in which they capitalized on. Capitalizing as in a field goal. That’s right, the Hogs defense held them to only a field goal. Things continued great with the exception of quarterback Derek Donaldson going down and missing the majority of the game, but Sam Hendricks came in on fire. Hendricks continued right where Donaldson left off by throwing “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey a perfect pass for a touchdown. Momentum finally changed late in late in the 3rd as Chris Willams intercepted a pass in the end zone only to fumble and give the Chiefs a touchdown to take the lead. “That my friends is some football,” bdes told the press “I told each and every one of you that I was going to make a big change, and I sure as hell did! I mean, did you see how my boys played out there today?” This game hopefully changes the Hogs for the better as they go to take on the steaming hot 4-2 Titans next week in Tennessee. Overtime?Hogs take the 4-2 Titans to overtimeThe Hogs defense was dangling off Young keeping him contained for the whole game.UTAH – 21 TENNESSEE – 27 Nashville, TEN (AP)--- All the talk of quarterback controversy was dismissed as Derek Donaldson put up a show. He went 17 for 38 with 314 yards, 2 Touchdowns and an interception along with a rushing touchdown. “I felt good out there and that’s all I really need to feel to play good.” Donaldson said when asked what the difference was in this game and his previous two. On a lighter note the Hogs lost the game in overtime mainly because of their terrible rush defense. Surprisingly they played very well against the run. “All we did was blitz Vince [Young] and he couldn’t do anything.” Linebacker Tom Burke said. The Hogs defense held Young to only go 3 for 9 with 70 yards, a Touchdown and 2 interceptions. “That game should have been won. We missed a 46-yard field goal that would of gave us the lead late in the forth, and then we made a bonehead decision to throw the ball in the red zone and forced an interception. We should have won that game.” Bdes said happily as his Utah Hogs actually looked like a team. Just letting anyone that reads this I am going to have a inter-active off-season so you will pick a team and draft for them and sign free agents and so on. So if you would like a team you can reserve them now.
Thanks, bdes

What if we had a Defense?Hogs rush defense allows another 200-yard game.<left>Clarett catches a pass with an open field in front of him. <right>Take a seat Devin.CHICAGO – 38 UTAH - 14 Salt Lake City, UT (AP)--- It was Beast Cancer Awareness Night and the Hogs said they would dedicate the game to all those with beast cancer. Let’s just say they didn’t stand to their word; that is with the exception of Halfback Maurice Clarett. Maurice Clarett rushed for 56 yards with a touchdown as well as over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. Because of his probation Clarett is not permitted to talk to the media but after talking to bdes we had an idea of how he was feeling. “I told you all that Maurice [Clarett] was a new changed guy and, what is he? A new changed man as well as a total beast. When he gets the ball in his hands you never know what he can do. The Bear’s offense started very slow but eventually found the key to embarrass the Hogs weak defense, run. Cedric Benson ran for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hopefully Utah can find a way to fix up their struggling run defense the Minnesota Vikings 10th ranked rush offense. Chestor Taylor is leading his team with 1,021 yards and 7 touchdowns. If the Hogs keep their defense sucking then you can expect 200-yards added onto Taylor’s high total. CHICAGO STATS QB Brian Griese – 8-14, 143, 2 TDs HB Cedric Benson – 16 carries, 215 yards, 2 TDs WR Bernard Berrian – 5 catches, 120 yards, 2 TDs LB Lance Briggs – 7 tackles DE Adewale Ogunleye – 4 tackles, sack, FF SS Mike Brown – 2 tackles, INT LB Brian Urlacher – tackle, INT, TD
HOGS STATS QB Derek Donaldson – 13-29, 187 yards, TD, 2 INTs HB Maurice Clarett – 23 carries, 56 yards, TD, 5 catches, 106 yards, TD WR Amos Tyson – 3 catches, 43 yards WR “Fancy” Lonnie Kindrey – 3 catches, 14 yards DE Ted Henderson – 4 tackles DE Chris Morales – 3 tackles, sack
