With the nominees tied up for the most part, I think it is a fun time to see who you would vote for.
Personally, I will vote for Obama. He is not the ideal person I would have liked to see the Democrats nominate. Then again, not many of the candidates were better. However, his views are closer to mine than those of John McCain. I didn't vote for Obama or Clinton in the primary, I will vote for Obama here. Mainly because I don't want to see John McCain in office.

I'd rather McCain over Obama right now, but I'm not excited about anybody.
None of them hit my most important issue right at all, the drug war. Obama has socalisitic tendencies that scare me and McCain seems like much of the same. It's more of a question of who will do the less damage to America than who will fix it. Hence I'm leaning with McCain, but it is way too early for me to say. I have not looked deep enough into the candidates invovled.

I really hope that whichever candidate does get elected, that they can be outdone by a better candidate in '12.

McCain is old, so unless he is stellar, he'll probably be a one term president. Obama as well has to be great, because America will not re-elect a black man unless he does a great job. He's got big enough hurdles as it is to get elected.

Barr is the libertarian canidate, so why are you voting for him? I could have sworn you like the ideas behind socialism, and well he's against those sort of things. Lower taxes will be a big part of his platform Then again, that makes him better for me. I'm in the libertarian vein, so it's very likely I'll vote for him. I haven't dug in enough, as stated earlier, to decide yet.

I hope he can pull in 5%, and not just because it might hurt McCain more, but I've never been a fan of our two party monopoly. The Libertarian nominating convention on C-SPAN this weekend was easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen, Barr was very presidential in his speech, and yet he was followed up by a woman who was, on all accounts, psychotic.

Also, I like Libertarianism. I disagree that it's the best way for the government to work at this point in time, but I don't think there's anything flawed in the ideology. Socially they are pretty well spot on, I just disagree when it comes to economics.
Conservatism, on the other hand, is pretty stupid.

I am supporting Barack Obama. I was accepted into Obama's organizing fellowship, so this summer I'll be working closely on the campaign.

I *might* get an internship in Chicago for a month or so late summer, I'm fairly sure I can get a spot, it's just a question of whether I can realistically leave home for a month before the school year. In the meantime though, I'm working for a gubernatorial campaign.

Thought he was great tonight, he's on FOX tomorrow, I just really hope he can maintain this spot above the media radar.

Thought he was great tonight, he's on FOX tomorrow, I just really hope he can maintain this spot above the media radar. I do as well. I'm not sold on him yet, but at this point he's the guy that best represents my political philosophy. When it comes to Obama and McCain, part of me is rooting for Obama to see the GOP shit bricks. I am so unhappy with the Republicans, I'm not sure I can even vote for anyone who has an (R) behind their name anymore. Gone liberal with all the spending, but are too dumb to realize the liberals tax so they can spend. Then they have that whole "I know how everyone should live their lives," thing. I just don't get how any rational person can be a Republican anymore. Then again, I guess my views moving more towards anarchy doesn't help me identify with any party. It would just be a wonderful place to live... ;D

It's a fun time.
