I dont think they are the best team either, but the championship is never about who the best team is. Its about the most deserving team. Everyone knows that last year the Patriots were a better team that the Giants and that they would win 80-85 percent of the time they play. Doesnt make them champions. I agree but since we don't have a playoff we will truly never know who the most deserving team is... I mean I can respect Utah for going undefeated but that SOS (#66 in the country) doesn't show me that they are more deserving than Oklahoma (#22) or Florida (#3). utahs strength of schedule is weak due to how poor the bottom of the mwc is compared to the major conferences, but imo when you are talking about a top 5 team there is not much difference realistically in playing the #65 team (kentucky) and #95 team (unlv), your chance of victory is very high for both. Wed both expect utah and florida to beat those 2 easily. I focus mostly at the difficult games on the schedule. Obviously the system we have sucks and florida and oklahoma are very good teams, but dismissing utah for no other reason than the conference that they play in doesnt hold much water to me. The MWC performed very well in nonconference games this year, going 10-4 overall vs BCS conference teams if my research is correct.

why is that? Florida's conference schedule was no stronger than Utah this year. A Michigan team could have been a good win, but a 3-9 Michigan team that could not fight their way out of a paper bag, is not a quality win (no offense Chis or JTR). I take offense to this statement. A Paper bag can play defense, this season we could not. So that comparison to a paper bag isn't good. But onto this topic: whether or not Utah is deserving to win the NC, their not going to. As wrong or right as it may be, the voters just aren't going to make it happen that way.

So in Oxford now after watching the Rebels lay wood to a supposed Top Ten team. Still don't have a voice and had a great time in Dallas. Partied in Downtown Friday night. Then tailgated for the game, partied after the game, found some green to continue the party, and got driven back to Memphis. Pretty epic weekend overall. Not to mention going nuts at that football game like it was the National Championship. If your school ever travels for a bowl, do it.

Found myself rooting for Ole Miss after hearing about friends' experiences in the Grove for the MU game down in Oxford last season. If a home-and-home is ever set up again with the Rebs, I'd like to make the trip if the checkbook allows.

Just set up a tent somewhere and enjoy a lazy Mississippi afternoon. Then go watch the Rebels beat Mizzou!

It would be a good game, depending on if Nutt is still at Ole Miss and Pinkel is still at Mizzou. BTW, what has happened to the Big 12 South?

BTW, what has happened to the Big 12 South? Overrated because of their superpower offenses vs. nonexistent defenses?

Big XII = overrated
It's not like Ohio State is a slouch team though. In all honesty, I think they have gotten too little respect this year.

And they have a freshman quarterback no less but I think the National Championship is what people have been feeding off of on them. It's too easy to laugh at their misery two years in a row so they've really taken it this year.

Ohio State should start declining their bowl bids so that someone capable of winning such a game has a shot.
