1st Half:

The Steelers playoff hopes are pretty much gone but it's never over till it's really over. They could still finish 9-6 with victorys in all their 6 games remaining. On their first possession of the game, the Steelers would get into the redzone but Big Ben would throw another costly interception and that'd be it for the threat. Surprisingly, no team would be able to score in the first quarter. The Bengals would put the first points on the board with a 44 yard field goal just before the 2 minutes warning. It was still 3-0 Bengals at the halftime mark.


2nd Half:

It was sad to notice how difficult it was for the Steelers to move the ball on offense against a poor defense like the Bengals. Big Ben, all game long, would connect most of the times with his tight ends. The Steelers would get another trip into the redzone at the end of the third quarter. Another turnover. Nope, not Big Ben. This time a Willie Parker fumble would kill the drive and the momentum. The play was a couple of seconds later challenged and reversed. That'd give the opportunity to the Steelers to tie the game up at 3. After a 3 and out by the Bengals, Moore would fumble the ball and give it back to the Bengals with great field position. McFadden would pick Palmer off right after to give the ball back to his team. His second pick of the game. The Steelers could not capitalize. Late in the game, Moore would redeem himself with a nice punt return to give his team some great field position with not much time remaining. A couple of seconds later, Jeff Reed was kicking the game winning field goal to give his team the victory.

It's getting pretty much impossible[/CENTER]

1st Half:

he Steelers needed to win this game against the strong Chargers and their star runningback Ladainian Tomlinson. Unfortunately for them, the Chargers scored first on a nice touchdown by Justin Hester on a 4 yard pass from Rivers. Jeff Reed would cut the Chargers lead with a field goal with a couple of seconds left in the first quarter. Both teams would commit small mistakes here and there and none would get points in the second quarter. 7-3 Chargers at the halftime mark.


2nd Half:

It had been a while since the Steelers scored a touchdown. That streak went on during the 3rd quarter. It's the Chargers that scored touchdowns. Two of em' and both by their great tight end Antonio Gates. One from 56 yards and the other from 29 yards. The Chargers led 21-3 at that time. In the fourth quarter, the Steelers tried a small comeback but it did not work. They ended the "no" touchdown streak with a 1 yard touchdown reception from Spaeth before another one by Roethlisberger on a 5 yard run. Another loss for the disapointing Steelers.

1st Half:

The surprising 9-3 Packers learned that their starting QB Aaron Rodgers would be out for the rest of the season with a Broken Vertebrae so it'd be Brian Brohm the starting Packers QB for this game. Not much to report during the first half of this game. The only chances those two teams got was destruct by an interception in the endzone. 0-0 at the halftime.


2nd Half:

It was no surprise to see those two teams play great on defense. They are two of the best defenses in the league. The first score of the game came late in the fourth quarter. The Packers finally put a drive togheter and were able to kick a field goal to take a 3-0 lead with around 2 minutes remaining. The Steelers got the ball and tried to score some points to tie the game up or win it. They managed to get into field goal range but Big Ben was sacked on 3rd down so they had to settle for a longer field goal. A 49 yard one. Jeff Reed missed it and the Steelers missed their chance to tie the game up. Packers win 3-0.

CLEVELAND BROWNS (9-4) at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (5-8)

1st Half:

The Cleveland Browns seems to be on the way to accomplish what they did last year, win their division. They are currently 9-4 and no one is near in the AFC North. These days, the Steelers can't find to get anything going on offense and are losing games because of it. Last time these two teams met the Browns won a close one on the last play of the game thanks to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and some unbelievable play. The Browns would give Derek Anderson some nice time in the pocket and they would be able to score 3 points in the first quarter on a field goal. Early into the second quarters the Brown got some good offense going and were able to double up their lead with another field goal. On the next Steelers drive, Heath Miller made some great catches and the Steelers scored 3 points on a 46 yards field goal. Polamalu picked off Anderson on the next Brown drive to give the Steelers good field position before the halftime. A couple of seconds later the game was tied at 6.


2nd Half:

The Browns got some offense going in the third quarter of this one. Jamal Lewis scored a touchdown on a short run and gave his team a 13 to 6 lead. In the fourth and last quarter of this game, the Steelers got the ball with 2 minutes left to tie the game up and bring it to overtime. They got some nice pass from Big Ben and went up the field. After a Holmes catch, they were at the Browns 6 yard line with 1:13 remaining to play and one timeout. On the next play, Big Ben would connect with Sweed to score the game tying touchdown. Unfortunately for the Steelers, there were some time left on the clock. 1 minute actually. The Browns managed to get some offense going and got into field goal range. With 2 seconds, the Browns kicker Phil Dawson kicked a 39 field goal and..... MISSED. Overtime ! In the overtime, Jeff Reed kicked a field goal with 1:22 remaining and gave the Steelers their first win in 3 weeks.

Breaking News

The Bills have announced the released of Free Safety Jamaal Fudge in order to make room for the new signed Fullback Kyle Eckel. Eckel signed a 3 year deal with the Bills worth 1.89M. " We needed a fullback since our 3rd round pick rookie Kalen Crawford got hurt. Eckel is an unbelievable player and we are glad to have him. It sucks that we had to released Fudge but eh, we had to do it." said the Bills GM.
