Leak, Devine isn't playing College ball next year. He's attending Junior College or Prep School because he doesn't have the credits or something. I'm not sure of the details, but I know he's not playing next year.

Okay I have a stupid question how come if you can only have 25 scholarships per year (thats right isn't it) how come several teams like Florida, SC, etc pull in 25-30 recruits?

Some of those people will have to walk on. Some schools oversign and then just give the scholarships to the 25 best players. The rest will either be walk ons, or have some sort of deal in place where they will get a scholarship the following season.

I'm really hoping that the Longhorns can land William Cole from Ceder Hill, Texas. This guy is amazing, and torched my high schools defense. What I don't know about with him is how he plays defense. He said he wants to play some DB in college, but he played QB at Ceder Hill. Actually, Kansas has the lead for Cole, and Mizzou isn't far behind. As far as what side of the ball he plays on, if he plays DB, he can go somewhere else. If he came to Mizzou, he'll play as soon as he sets foot on campus and be a star in our offense, period. I honestly think he could get lost in the shuffle at a school like Texas. Yeah I know that they aren't the leading team for him, but I really love to see him sign with Texas.

You can enroll 25 in one semester, which means most will enroll the following semester.

4* QB Robert Marve has changed his commitment to Alabama to a Very Soft Verbal after a visit to the U. of Miami... he'll make his decision after his visit to Hawaii *crosses fingers* (please this would be amazing pick-up, probably won't happen though) and I changed Hawaii commitments I have to add 2 more people and we just got a 4* CB from Blinn JC

At this point, I would say Marve will not be at Bama next season. Time to drop the pretense of a committment I think, and just say he doesn't know.
I think the U will get him, but I would love to see a kid like that in the June Jones system. Talk about some crazy stats.

I was reading the Miami Herald and it said that, Marve visited Miami this week and he has said that Miami's stock went way up and almost #1 on his list. His parents want him going to UM.

He seems from the videos of his plays he seems like a Colt Brennan-copy but more herald and rated higher out of high school...

Gators bring in 5-star DE Carlos Dunlap, another great addition to the D-Line. Good steal from Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks. We have another shot at stealing one in WR Chris Culliver, but it looks as if he's heading to the 'Cocks.

Wouldn't he be a sophomore since Brennan's playing next year? Or would he be red-shirted?
Edit: I think DB means that it's not a good thing because then we have to listen to this crap about how deserving Marve is for the next four years.

Bama got a commitment out of QB- Nick Fanuzzi from San Antonio. Anyone like Robino or Ryan care to shed any light on this kid? I knew he was in house for the Bama/UGA basketball game this weekend and was with that huge crew that went up to visit this weekend.
Then completely out of left field, Bama picked up Kareem Jackson, a DB from Virginia. Never even heard his name until today.
The late push from Bama now seems to be on WR- Brandon Gibson, DT- John Brown, DE- Sidell Corley (I might be able to get a little inside info on him), and the long shots in Joe McKnight and Luther Davis.
Well that answers the Marve thing too, I just can't see him going to Bama right now.

Well actually hed prolly red-shirt this upcoming season and then back-up and learn or compete for starting when the Warriors head to the Swamp for the first game in 2008

I hope you guys dont pull away Sidell Corley Bama, kid looks like a beast. At this point though, how many of these Top 100 D-Lineman can Meyer and the Gators hog up?

I'm not sold on Sidell being that good. Still very immature, and he's gonna get his butt kicked by either coach when he gets to school. He's got the physical skills though, as I watched the boy dominate Alabama 6-A Region 1 for the last three years or so. Got amazing backside pursuit too, I've seen him run down guys like a linebacker would. If he gets a good head on his shoulders, he will be a great player.
It's kind of cool to remember back sophomore year I had religion with that kid. First time in a while McGill put out any big time prospects. I do have some friends who would be pretty good contacts on getting information from, so I may be able to break his final decision on here. That would be cool. ;D Even though I see him faking the caps on signing day. It won't be that easy to gauge.
