Gable isn't going pro. He's only a freshman. Besides, Chauncey Washington was the starter for SC until he got hurt, and the USC staff was high on him, if I recall.

Yep, he's on their roster on the USC site as a freshman. I think it's all about getting to the NFL with these guys. Pete Carroll was an NFL coach. Orgeron and Miles haven't been, and Saban has, but was just average. And, I think sunny SoCal sounds better than Louisiana. At least to these guys it does.

ESPN.com has their 5 top classes looking like this...
1. USC 2. Florida 3. Texas 4. South Carolina 5. Tennessee
When, I was on earlier they had Florida #1 and they had ND 5th. While USC was 2nd.

One thing to remember is that Joe McKnight is from around the New Orleans area. I think John Curtis HS is in River Ridge, which is around Kenner (burb of NO). If a kid is going to go out of state, it is generally going to be from the New Orleans area. Oh and Alabama was not really in the running for the McKnight lotto, Ole Miss amazingly was though. I think he made a good decision in the end, he'll get good playing time at USC because he is very good. Then of course the press out at USC is better and you get more exposure. I know a lot of the names on the USC roster, probably more than any school other than Auburn, LSU, Florida, or Alabama.
Then again, with this Reggie Bush stuff hanging over SC's head, I'd be weary of heading to LA. Hopefully it'll work out well for him.
Starting tomorrow guys, it's time to get geared up for 2008.

I dont think I can complain about my teams class I feel as if we were even snubbed last year, this should of been our 2nd #1 class in a row. Pulled in DB Jerimy Finch from Indiana in the end and WR Deonte Thompson. In this class we brought in a hell of a future at defensive line, some help in the secondary which we needed, and offensive line. We also have a pretty talented tight end, receiver, and an athlete (Joe Haden). I think Urban did a great job once again.

I don't get why McKnight went to USC. They have a bijillion running backs. Why be a situational player at USC when you could've been a God at Alabama? Or a possible starter at another SEC school? The other 11 SEC teams dodged a bullet there. Im so happy!

Looking at USC's class, it's hard for me to even say Florida was on par. USC pulled in a class with an average star rating of 4.22! Exactly one third of their class are five stars. That's just sick. UF's class was bigger and I think that had a bit to do with them getting Rivals and probably Scout's top class.
That's not knocking the Gators' class this year, because it is very strong. Just saying, 3.8 average to 4.2 average is a decent jump. Again, I'd trade classes with the Gators in a flat second, but I'd trade with USC even faster.

At the same time, I think what we did is so much more impressive than what they did. We are pulling in talent just like them, except while competing with basically every SEC school and FSU for that talent. Who is USC fighting with to get talent in California? Nobody worth mentioning thats for sure.

USC wastes its talent. There are so many five star prospects who go to USC and waste their career as a third string when they could be a starter on most other teams. A lot of schools turn three and four star prospects into household names.

Saban is going down? How exactly do you figure that? Top 10 class (Rivals) after just being hired a month ago. On top of that, Bama's S&C under Shula was worthless. The difference in S&C alone next year will make Bama a better team. Alabama's returning 9 out of 11 starters on offense, so that won't be a problem next year. Saban's a defensive guy, so the weakness that we should have on defense won't be quite as bad IMO.
The Alabama program is rebuilding right now, but all signs in T-Town are pointing to Alabama becoming a player in the SEC picture again in a few years. It's going to take time, but after seeing what Saban was able to do at LSU after the DiNardo years I think he'll be able to make Alabama a major SEC player in two to three years.
Seriously, why the hell is he going down? Other than the LSU nation's slightly irrational hatred of the man (note: I understand a lot of it, just not the obsession).

This LSU/Bama stuff is spilling over to Finebaum, that cancer of a man. I hate that guy, but damn this is starting to get interesting. Funny, yes. Sad, yes. I mean, Les Miles is quoted as saying "We have a new rival in ******* Alabama." Classy statement, but damn I can't believe this Saban hate spilled into the coaches at LSU. Seriously, this is funny, but damn it's ridiculous.
I knew the Cajuns were crazy, but this Saban thing is amazing. Bama people, like that idiot Finebaum ain't helping, but still amazing stuff.

They just don't appreciate being lied to. Who would? When did Nick Saban lie to LSU or their fans? I'm serious, when? I figured Miles would be more angry with Urban who told Tolliver that LSU's academics wasn't in order and a lot of other things. Then of course McKnight was told by ole Les that USC was going to go down due to the Reggie Bush stuff. Yet Saban is playing dirty? It's stupid, and is basically a pissing contest between the two fan bases. Ya know what I mean?

Saban lied when he said he was done with college football after he left LSU.

Dolphins fans have more to be upset about than LSU.
