That's how I get my info, as well. I don't have the money to subscribe to all that Rivals stuff, but I wonder what it would be like to have all that kind of info at your fingertips.
Anyway, there was word he was going to commit a few weeks back when Jones committed, but his coach said that it was a false rumor that someone probably started. A lot of people are nervous that he's going to go to Iowa or God forbid, Nebraska, but I get the feeling he's just seeing what kind of attention he's going to get before setting in and making a decision. I'm about 85-90% certain he'll eventually sign with Mizzou, because he's got close family ties to Mizzou (sister attends, parents attended), and he loves the offense, but he's going to have some big boys calling no doubt. We're hoping he signs because it will pave the way for more recruits that are considering us to fall in line.
Oh, and he's the #1 QB as per ESPN.

Well he might like the offense at Alabama with Major Applewhite running the show. I don't actually know what kind of offense we're going to run, but I'm leaning with spread considering the QB and players we signed last year. So maybe the offense at Bama will fit him just as well.
On that note, I still agree he's going to be at Mizzou. I just kind of want him to end up at Alabama instead.

David Posluszny committed to Notre Dame a few days ago, thought I'd mention it in this thread.

In a way, him commtting to Notre Dame is a diss on himself.
He knows he'll never be as good as Paul, and doesn't want to go to Penn State so he won't have any expectations to live up to. It doesn't matter though, linebacker is last on our lists of needs for the season. Pryor should be our top priority.

I read on Rivals that Pryor is also pretty good on the hardwoods. Will he suit up for the Lions basketball team as well?
He looks like the impact player at quarterback you guys need. Morelli is more than serviceable, but you need to groom a replacement. Unless there's someone on your roster that is already being groomed.
All of this is contingent on you guys getting him, BTW.

I think he should really try both sports at the next level, whereever he goes. I think he'll make a bigger impact on the gridiron, but I think he'd be a pretty good sixth or seventh man playing basketball as well. Kinda like Julius Peppers with UNC.

He'd probably the basketball team's best player. I really hope Tom Bradley and Larry Johnson make a push for him.

Speaking of QB's, Gabbert's taking in the spring game at Nebraska this weekend, then heading to Mizzou's the following week. He's supposed to visit the Bama campus again sometime after that, but not sure when. I would say a commit from him is coming sometime within the next month, if not sooner.
It's down to Mizzou and Alabama right now. Husker fans want this kid so bad they're practically pissing themselves, but they're not getting him. I would be very surprised (and a little disappointed) if he picks Callahan and his goons.

The Buckeyes have added another Top-notch prospect, this time in the form of Florida C Michael Brewster. He is currently a four-star prospect but I expect him to be a five-star by signing day. This offensive line class could be one of the greatest of all-time. We could end up with four-to-five legimate Five-star offensive lineman. And also keep in mind that we have a chance with Pryor (Although a very slim chance indeed).

This is for Bama specifically, he might know more.
I've read that Saban has offered three more QB's for the 2008 class. Hanson, Luck, and this kid from Florida, his name escapes me. Is Saban hedging his bets on Gabbert, or is he looking to take 2 QB's in this class? I know that he has Fanuzzi and McElroy already on campus, I believe. Gabbert took a visit to T-town on Wednesday and said he liked it.
I actually tend to believe that Luck might be the better prospect of all the QB's that Saban's offered.

I only see Bama taking one quarterback this class, so they have to be hedging their bets here. Wilson is only a junior, so we have two years with him. McElroy is going to be fantastic, but he's only a RS Freshman.
I'm not sure we even need a QB this class, but it wouldn't hurt. I think D.C. Jefferson is that quarterback from Florida I think. I need to actually do a bit more reading on this year's recruiting to kind of handicap things for you.

It's down to three schools now. He's pretty much removed Iowa from the discussion.

From most of the Scout and Rivals guys around the Mizzou program, he's probably going to commit at the Nike camp in Columbia early next month. I would agree that's most likely.

An absolute shitload of early commits this year. I think the weeks leading up to Signing Day will be very interesting for some top programs.

The Buckeyes picked up yet another committment today, as 4-star linebacker Andrew Sweat committed. Rumor has it that he is running in the 4.4s at 233 pounds.
God, what I wouldn't give to have a subscription to Scout. I mean, I could have so much more information at my fingertips. But at 15 years old, there is no way I'll pay $100 for that.
