Michigan got two commits today. One out of John Weinke who's a decent QB out of Illinois. He'll redshirt and have two years between him and Mallett. Also we got Darryl Stonum out of Texas to commit. We've been pretty good recruiting Texas and he's yet another one. I watched videos on him and he looks pretty fast, but I'm not sure if he's as good as Braylon Edwards thinks. He's already given #1 to Stonum. Ryandman, you live in the area by Stonum? By all accounts, it looks like you'll get McGuffie too. I've been sure of that since last month . Well in two years we'll have the Texas Trio, Mallett at QB, Guffie (MAYBE) at RB, and Stonum at WR. We'll be looking good with Mallet throwing to a (hopefully) senior Mario Manningham, Greg Matthews, and Darryl Stonum. But the numbers don't add up for me on Stonum. 86= 1, not Stonum. And in the Braylon Edwards Scholarship for the #1 Jersey the main thing is it cannot be given to a freshman. This'll be interesting to see how it'll work.

Knowing how Lloyd loves slow RB's, McGuffie will end up at defensive back (well, that, and he's white).

Why not use McGuffie as a slot receiver? He's got decent size, and he's been reported as running in the 4.2 range. He's listed as an all-purpose player on Rivals, and I can see why.

Take it for what it's worth, but unsubstantiated rumor flying around on Rivals that Nebraska QB commit Blaine Gabbert is starting to get some serious looks from the Florida and USC coaching staffs after putting up an MVP performance at the Elite 11 Camp this week.
I think there's very little chance that he commits to Mizzou if this is indeed true, but I figured it was only a matter of time before the big boys came knocking.

Five star Tyler Love is set to announce his college decision at 6 pm Central tonight. I think he's pretty much a Bama lock, the only school that could stick their nose in here is UGA. He's a lifelong Bama fan, his parents went to UA, and well is from around the B-Ham/T-Town area. I'll edit this post when he actually does commit.

Since Friday, Alabama has picked up 5 star Tyler Love, Four Star Melvin Ray (WR), and 4 star Burton Scott (ATH). Good stuff right there.
The next big announcement for the Tide is QB Star Jackson, who is believed to be a Bama lean. Get him, and this class is shaping up very well, just need Julio Jones to put the cherry on top on NSD.

Not too much excitement yet for Florida. We're more of a late season-offseason recruiting program anyway. The text messaging rule is a pain in the ass for Meyer and the staff though.

He will change his mind and come to A&M after the Aggies put up 10 wins this season. Mark my words. If, for whatever reason, I am wrong McGuffie doesn't matter b/c we've got several other good running backs looking at A&M and we already have Goodson and Lane (the best running combo in the country!) I watched the show where he picked michigan and he gave a little fake grab to the A&M hat. It nearly killed me, he really had me beleiving...

Yeah I was watching it on the internet and that almost blew me away, but then he picked up the hat and i was like Yay. Also on scout.com he said no team, not even Texas A&M was a close second. He's recruiting for Michigan already. He almost convinced Christian Wilson (4* HB who'll be a Chris Cooley type player for us) to commit instead of waiting, and he's already sent sales pitches to J.B. Fitzgerald and Fred Smith. Fitzgerald is thinking of moving up his commitment day and we're #1 for Smith after his latest visit to us. I'll put a detailed Michigan recruiting thing that nobody'll care about later but this is good for now.

I honestly think 8-9 wins for you guys would be a great season. The Ags have a top-five tough schedule this year.

Yea I know...here's my prediction. Montana State...Win...blowout Fresno State...Win...could be a great game Louisiana Monroe...Win @miami...Loss...Excellent game where miami wins on a field goal Baylor...Win Oklahoma State...Win...its at home so it should be a win texas Tech...Win...its about time we beat them in lubbock @nebraska...Loss...another good game probably a field goal difference Kansas...Win @oklahoma...Loss...kind of up for grabs. OU has a better team but a fresh qb but we have leadership @missouri...Win Texas...Win...could be substituted for OU, we will beat either OU or Texas, but not both.

I always hate those Douchebags that do that at the Army All-American game. Joseph Barksdale did it last year with a fake to Ohio State, and I swear I hate that kid with a passion.

On another note, the Buckeyes continue to lead by a large margin for Terrelle Pryor, the nation's top quarterback prospect.

Okay, no way this should fall to the second page.
Ohio State picked up a committ from one of the top juniors in the country in LB Jordan Whiting from Kentucky on September 1st, and WR/DB/RB Lamaar Thomas should committ after his official visit.

His high school (Trinity where Brian Brohm is from) got smashed 47-31 by St. Xavier even though Trinity led early.
