Class of 2008 Recruiting

Terrelle Pryor is coming to TOSU this Friday for an unofficial visit. The Brew Crew (Our already committed offensive line prospects Mike Adams, Mike Brewester-hence the name-0, and J.B. Shugarts, who Terrelle says he receives a combined 15 texts per day from) will be on hand to to try and reel him in. According to numerous recruiting reports, Pryor is favoring Ohio State.

The only recruiting news I have is that, as of right now, Auburn has not picked up a commit from a single player from the state of Alabama. ;D

MU has picked up four commitments in the past week, three for '08 and one for '09. The most recent is 3-star CB Robert Steeples, and he'll likely bring some other bigger names with him.

The '09 player is the top junior in the state of MO right now.

Good article outlining who the big winners are so far in the recruiting wars. I bet this list dramatically changes by year's end, however.

Definately the best offensive line class thus far. And it will potentially get even better, as Josh Jenkins (Committed to West Virginia) is rumored to de-commit, although he will likely wait until January or February to do that to avoid all of the local pressure.

A&M's 07 recruits are not too good, but our 08 class looks pretty solid. I think we're ranked 9th as of right now. We're picking up some big d-lineman and texas' best quarterback. I can't wait for football to start!

My Husker friends that are into this recruiting say they have the best OL class in the country. I beg to differ, even though they have some impressive players coming in. Nebraska lucked out since I believe all but one of their line commits grew up Husker fans, two of them from Nebraska themselves.

OSU is pulling them in from all over the place. If you get Jenkins, you'll blow NU out of the water.

Who's the QB - the kid from north richland or whatever?... I don't think he'll be the best QB out of TX after the season, but it's still early.

Michigan got two commits today. One out of John Weinke who's a decent QB out of Illinois. He'll redshirt and have two years between him and Mallett. Also we got Darryl Stonum out of Texas to commit. We've been pretty good recruiting Texas and he's yet another one. I watched videos on him and he looks pretty fast, but I'm not sure if he's as good as Braylon Edwards thinks. He's already given #1 to Stonum. Ryandman, you live in the area by Stonum?
