Lloyd Carr is already gone, and now Bill Callahan has been let go.

Add in Franchione. I liked how he walked off right as the AD was talking about how "gracious" of a coach he was....

Add Coach O down in Ole Miss to the list.

Add Coach O down in Ole Miss to the list. About to add that, not a surprise. We picked a bad year to do it, but after the LSU game there was no doubt this was coming, even if we don't collapse against Moo Moo State.

OMFG Kirk Ferentz is potentially getting looked at as the next Michigan coach. This would be the. worst. move. ever. He can't even beat Iowa State! (3-6). The Martin brothers, destroying Michigan athletics one sport at a time! If he's hired, I'll have to do what this random dude is gonna do. photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v148/86/45/2202705/n2202705_39761708_7697.jpgHis caption is: 'If Kirk Ferentz is hired at Michigan'

Kirk had his years, with Banks and them. But he hasn't done much since then.

Miles and Ferentz are equally terrible candidates.

He'll be better than Les Miles dude... With respectability and talking to the media yes, but coaching HELL NO. If this was after 2003 then I would welcome him with open arms, but it's been 4 years since he had a decent year. Sure he'll come here and post 8-4 records, but for Michigan that's a disappointing season. Les Miles will be a better coach.

There just isn't a real great candidate for Michigan to choose from.

ESPN has reported that Ferentz has indeed been offerred the Michigan job...
I hope he is hired.
He's gone 12-13 (6-10 in the Big Ten) in two years since landing the nation's no. 8 recruiting class, and in addition to that he is 3-6 against his biggest rival, Iowa State.

I don't see us giving the job to Ferentz. Although it would reflect what we did with the basketball hire. My short list looks like this:
1. Les Miles 2. Mike Trgovac 3. Brian Kelly 4. Bobby Petrino 5. John Gruden

Well, if you wanted Gruden you might want to spell his name right first

Hey bama...
Is there any news floating around campus over there on a new coach? I was thinking how funny it would be if Ole Miss hired Franchione, or even if Mike Shula made his way back down. I know neither of those are likely to happen. Im just looking for humor.
Anyways, keep me updated on the rumors.

The rumor floating this weekend was Franchione was in town on Saturday. I think our short list is Rick Neuheisel, Fran, Pelini, and Houston Nutt depending on what happens at Arkansas. I'll keep you updated when shit happens.
Oh and to the Michigan guys, I've watched Les Miles from up close for the last three years. I've seen LSU play in person or on TV at least 25 times since Miles got there. He is a decent coach at developing talent, a good recruiter, but a horrible gameday coach. Still is clueless how to manage the clock late, takes major risks that only get bailed out because of the amazing talent he inherited. That's not to mention how much of a buffon he is in front of the camera. I want him to stay at LSU, because I worry what they would do with a real coach. It would be scary. Trust me guys, you do not want Les Miles at Michigan.
