Michigan I believe at one time had Gary Pinkel on their radar. Not sure that's the case now, but he'd be moronic to leave now. He has a boatload returning next season with a Top 25 recruiting class coming in.

Oh and to the Michigan guys, I've watched Les Miles from up close for the last three years. I've seen LSU play in person or on TV at least 25 times since Miles got there. He is a decent coach at developing talent, a good recruiter, but a horrible gameday coach. Still is clueless how to manage the clock late, takes major risks that only get bailed out because of the amazing talent he inherited. That's not to mention how much of a buffon he is in front of the camera. I want him to stay at LSU, because I worry what they would do with a real coach. It would be scary. Trust me guys, you do not want Les Miles at Michigan. Yes I do, I want to complain about his stupid plays going for it on 4th down and about him not calling timeouts and all that other good stuff, instead of complaining about Lloyd and getting F'd up by Ohio State every F'in year and Zone left and play action TE Waggle and all his plays. Michigan's playbook is so lame, my grandpa works there and he got me a copy of it, it's so freaking lame. I want a coach that'll air it out and atleast takes risks, (even though I'll get pissed when they don't work), instead of a coach who's so conseverative. Sorry Bama, nothing against you and your judgement, but I'm just pessimistic. Lloyd got bailed out in 1997 by the insane defense and Charles Woodson being awesome, and by Braylon Edwards doing everything in 2003 (I still have the MSU game on tape, watch it every month or so). When we do incredibly stupid stuff next year, I'll miss Lloyd and his safe Zone left for 3 yards every play, but right now I can't wait for him to be gone.. lol this post is going to sound so stupid reading it. I'm in class right now supposed to be doing work so I can't proofread this and make it not sound retarded.  EDIT: OSU is literally laughing at our right now. But what's worse... is some are taking pity because Ferentz won't provide anything to the rivalry and they think/know they'll just DOMINATE us. He'll keep basically the same staff which means we'd play the same way and get the same results of sucking it up vs OSU. My stomach hurts |

Apparently Ferentz has been offered the job according to a source from Michigan. Might be all talk, might be real.
If I were a Michigan fan, I would love Ferentz.

Yeah when I saw that Nutt was out at Arky, I figured we'd be hearing this story shortly. I knew he would be the first guy offered, but I wasn't sure if he was actually going to leave Arkasnsas or not.
Solid hire by Ole Miss. Not the best, but where the program is now/facilities, he's one of the best hires we could make.
