I threw 28 confidence points for the LSU-OSU game. I have the tigers winning of course.

Jim Tressel is working hard on the underdog/disrespect angle. Every word that has been printed or spoken via the media since last January is being driven into the kids' brains and every written and spoken piece since last January is on a video clip or hard copy.

Even though the Orange Bowl isn't too good this year, I can't wait for it. Last years Louisville/Wake game was great, the FSU/PSU game was the best game I've ever been to. I was pretty messed up but remember the game going into like 2 or 3 OT's. The OU/USC game was terrible. USC smacked the shit out of them, but hey I got to see a National Championship.
Va. Tech/KU...I hope it's a close one like the FSU/PSU game. But, I have a feeling Va. Tech is going to blow them out.

I know I like to bag on kansas any chance I get, but I think it could turn out to be a close game. If VT has any resemblance of an offense, I don't think it will be close at all. But I could see VT being just bad enough on offense to keep the squawks in the game. But VT's defense is way too good. That's why I still have them winning the game.

Kansas has a pretty nice offense from what I've seen. Granted, they haven't played much and when the they did (Mizzou) they lost but it was a fairly good performace at best from them.
The line is around 4 favoring VT and I think VT can easily cover that but KU might just be for real? Nah, I don't think so. Same thing with Hawaii, I don't they are for real either.

Kansas is THE most overrated college football team I've seen in a long while.

In that case lets just say LSU is, and hope that Ohio State proves it by kicking their ass.

They did a lot of their damage against Mizzou in the late third into the fourth quarter. kansas has a nice offense, but even though MU's defense was pretty good, it's not in VT's league. If the Hokies get a big lead, they won't be giving it up.

Honestly, this looks to be the worst year for BCS Bowl games.
Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl all could end up as blowouts, and that's how I see all of them ending up.

How is everyone doing on their picks so far? I am in two pools, one that I run and one the commish of my fantasy leagues' runs, and I'm 6-1. The only one I got wrong was that insane Boise State game. It seems like most people have struggled with the early games in the pool I'm running. How about all of you?
And by the way, LSU - 38 Ohio St. - 27

I'm sitting at 4-3, but should be 5-3 unless Arizona State actually decides to show up tonight. Glad I picked the Horns. I flubbed the first two being stupid, why on earth I would pick Tiger High in anything is beyond me (Memphis). Oh and I always pick Navy to win their bowl game, so that's normally one loss for me right there.
I'm in good shape for the future games, except for that damn Kentucky/FSU game that I have FSU in and a ton of points. Kentucky isn't that good, but I mean, Florida State is basically fielding a JV team...
Damn it to hell.

And by the way, LSU - 38 Ohio St. - 27 Now we're guaranteed a victory! Maize has never been right about a Buckeye game, so this is very good.

And by the way, LSU - 38 Ohio St. - 27 Now we're guaranteed a victory! Maize has never been right about a Buckeye game, so this is very good. Way too much offense is his mistake. I can't imagine OSU giving up 38 or LSU giving up 27. It's just not the nature of two teams that feast on running the football and good defense. If OSU can handle Dorsey up front and actually run the football, this will be a great game. I mean, this has OSU 2002 written all over it. I don't think OSU has the same talent (well maybe decision making ability) at QB or quite the same defense. The good news is, LSU isn't as good as Miami was in 2002.

I really think that if the 2007 Ohio State squad and the 2002 Ohio State squad met up, 2007 would honestly win by at least 3 TD's. The evolution of the spread offense and the large inability for even the best defenses to stop it have made everybody look pedestrian. The 02 D faced more traditional offenses (Hell even Miami's was traditional compared to the spread) and it really enhanced thier look. They are the best defense I've ever seen at Ohio State, but they would be significantly worse than the 07 squad if they had to face the spread offense as much as we have. Let me put it this way: If 2002 Ohio State plays Washington, than we lose that game.
And for Boeckman's decision making ability.. he has his nights. Against Penn State and their vaunted secondary, he played lights out and was the difference in that game. Against Illinois, well, I think that speaks for itself. It also goes without saying that he runs the fastest 40 of any Ohio State QB, ever. Yes, that includes Troy Smith. When just running straight ahead as Boeckman did against Illinois, there are very few linebackers that can keep up with him. What he lacks is the wiggle that Troy had, though, among other things.

Heh, I really haven't watched OSU enough then, because I thought Boeckman was your traditional pocket passer. That speed is a good thing, because LSU's defense is very beatable if you can spread em out and have speed at quarterback. Ohio State has to be ready for LSU's speed up front. That, as you know, is where the SEC speed thing actually shows up. If those brusers on the OSU o-line can deal with LSU's speed up front, they'll make this the only BCS game worth a shit.

Michigan State beat PSU and their "vaunted secondary" too. Just sayin'. Yes, but based on physical gifts alone PSU has one of the best secondaries in the country (Unfortunately, they don't have the best mental gifts).
