And score highest on average on the Wonderlic test, still graduate even if it is in "General Studies," have never been under NCAA violation or investigation... in football! And don't rape 14 year old girls, carry guns, are given cars by boosters, or spell 'University' incorrectly.

And they were under NCAA investigation this year for playing an ineligable player against Northwestern.

It was dismissed and was erroneous on all accounts. And the comparisions would be to your team. I rise and fall with my team, and understand their shortcomings - which are on the field. Yours happen to be OFF the field....

Yours happen to be OFF the field.... Explain to me just how our problems are OFF the field when we have had two issues since 2005, and Michigan has that topped in one year alone? Hell, three starters for your team today have had to be disciplined in the past year (Manningham for drugs, Arrington for domestic, and Butler for aggrivated assault) Rape 14 year old girls- Who would this be about? (Torrence?) Carry guns- LOL Clarett. Michigan fans should know as well as I do that nobody could control that guy. Hell, he'd been out of tOSU for 4 years when that happened, wasn't our responsibility anymore. Get cars from boosters- Check your facts buddy, proven to be false by the NCAA. Clarett was saying anything to try and tarnish tOSU, and this was one of his many false claims. Spell University- WTF? I don't even know what you are talking about. So next time you want to attempt to insult my team, and praise yours in the process, do a little research so you don't look like such a fool. And LOL, again. Michigan has had more off-the-field issues in the past year alone than we have had in the past 3 years combined, and you say our issues are OFF the field?

Means was the D-Tackle whose Head Coach told schools that for $200K he would go to their school. Alabama Boosters made a deal with him.

Name our off-the-field issues. And I did do my research! But lets remember in your eyes, I'm wrong. In mine, I'm right! Tell me where I'm wrong! You can't tell me your boosters weren't willing to put out for players like Clarett. This does run rampant through multiple Universities, so its not like I'm putting this on you. Eddie George was unable to spell University during a guest spot on Best Damn Sports Show. The rape is about your recruit who is being charged with sexual assault! And in your words, probably won't keep his scholarship. Where am I wrong?

And in your words, probably won't keep his scholarship. Where am I wrong? Okay, since the beginning of the 2005 season (I'll set the date as 9/1/2005). 1) Antonio Henton this year. 2) Eugene Clifford this year. I don't have to tell you that they weren't willing to put our for players like Clarett, I'll let the report from the NCAA investigation do that for me. I would expect that from Eddie. Hell, he's from the John Cooper era. That's the worst era in terms of academics in Ohio State history. We had guys that didn't even show up for classes play and had guys with 0.0 GPAs. Wouldn't shock me that a person from that era can't spell a simple word like that. Oh yes, a recruit getting charged with rape. A guy that hasn't stepped foot on our practice field and a guy that was protected by his high school coach. Torrence is a criminal and won't be at tOSU, so I don't see how that has any merit on our off the field issues.

Forgot to mention your off-the-field issues.
1) Adrian Arrington for domestic violence. 2) Eugene Germany for aggravated assault. 3) Carson Butler for aggravated assault 4) Mario Manningham suspended for drug use (Conveniently suspended for the EMU game)

Yeah we need to slow down. I'll wrap it up...
The point of this was to say, Carr won the award for running his University with the same integrity he preaches. We had a rough go this season on the field, but are poised off the field, something numerous schools cannot say. And Michigan is more known nationall for its standard of academics as a University, unlike tOSU - who is respectable in its own right...

First: Lloyd has had a great career with Michigan. Period. Overall - 121-40 - 1997 National Championship - 5 Big Ten titles - 1997 Walter Camp Nat'l COY - 1997 Paul "Bear" Bryant Award - Northern Michigan University Hall of Fame 1997 - 1997 Catholic League Hall of Fame - 2007 Bobby Dodd National Coach of the Year.
Second: That is funny to hear an OSU fan talk about academics. On their site, they don't even talk about the players academics at all. Yea, its sad to see the Michigan players not have demanding academic schedules but almost every other major college football program has it. So really, don't say stuff about a program when OSU's program isn't smelling like roses in this category.
Third: I was shocked by this award to Lloyd because as much as I thought he was good, I thought there were other coaches that probably should have received it. If there are other factors to winning this award (like outside work and such), I still wouldn't know if Lloyd deserves the award. With all the amazing stories this year in college football, Kansas holding their own this year, Notre Dame falling apart, and the flip flopping of #1 and #2 ranked teams, I don't know what to expect from this year in college football. Instead of bashing a team that you have no idea about and making false assumptions about him and the organization, just let the man be and just except that he won.
The official definition of this award:
The Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award is an annual College Football award given to the Division I-Bowl Subdivision head coach whose team excels on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
This will be the only comment I make about this since I know I will be almost exiled for displaying my opinion about this topic and for being a Michigan fan.
Hope everyone enjoys the bowl games and hope all your teams do well in them.
