Spartan, any chance you could edit your post to make this the early entries thread? That way we don't have like 453459853095 different threads about guys leaving/staying?

Maybe good news then Spartan. Manningham is supposedly staying, and there is a rumor about him wearing the #1 jersey next season....

If I was Manningham, I would go right now. He has nothing more to prove. Injury risk I think is too great, especially since he has been injured before.

Pat White has officially said his is returning and I, at least, expect Slaton to do the same. Just my opinion though.

Slaton had an off year. He'll be back.

in terms of attention received though it became apparant that White, not Slaton, was the one who really made WVU's offense great. Look at the stats both of the games he missed all or most of (vs. USF and Pitt) they lost.

Slaton had injuries. He, like cooljayhu said, didn't have as much attention paid to him this year as he did last year.

I realize that, but if 17 TD's is considered an off-year, it makes me wonder what is considered a good year.

Maybe good news then Spartan. Manningham is supposedly staying, and there is a rumor about him wearing the #1 jersey next season.... Braylon Edwards established a scholarship for the #1 Jersey and it was promised to Darryl Stonum, a WR recruit coming out of Texas.

You're right, I remember hearing that and the other report I got was from the rivals forums.....

I dont get the whole coming out early bullshit. Seriously what are these idiots thinking? Do they not realize how hard it is in the NFL. College ball is a breeze compared to the shit pro players go through. Sure you can get paid alot but it is far from a sure thing. You have one bad workout, one bad practice, one bad game: you drop 3 rounds, you lose your spot on the depth chart, you get cut. Unless I was assured I would be picked in say the top 10 I wouldn't even think about coming out. These kids (and their parents) are just blinded by the dollars signs. They dont realize how easy it is to be forgotten about in the NFL. Getting a degree to fall back on is so important for these kids but they just dont get it.
