If I was a betting man on this, I'd say Gholston is gone, but Laurinaitis comes back. Yeah I was surprised reading that from Tressel. I thought Laurinaitis was a person who said he was staying all 4 years?

He might. Honestly, I think he'll be back next year, as most sources close to him have him staying.
I couldn't blame him if he left early though. Hell, with all the cash in front of his face right now, I'd be gone.

Vernon Gholston has entered the draft, top 5 caliber talent IMO. ohiostate.scout.com/2/719109.htmlMalcolm Jenkins announced he is returning (Shades of Mike Doss returning in 2002).

Gohlston top 5? Doubt it I see him going mid-teens at best.

Gohlston top 5? Doubt it I see him going mid-teens at best. Which is obviously why most mock drafts have him going in the top 5, and top 10 at worst.

ok lets see these mock drafts then I will believe it. But based on his play in the games I saw and on his size I dont see it. Although I think if packs on some poundage like 15-20 pounds but maintains his speed he could be very good.
My Top 5 (not Mock Draft just the 5 best):
1. McFadden (duh) 2. Dorsey 3. Jake Long 4. Brohm 5. Chris Long

15-20 pounds? The man is 6-4, 260, probably going to be an outside linebacker in the pros. And LOL at Brohm at #4. He is terribly overrated.. www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.htmlNot top 5, but 6 is good. Definately way off from your prediciton of mid-teens at best. I mean, seriously, anybody who's watched the guy this year will agree that he is one of the best defensive ends in the country. The man simply beasted Jake Long and the entire rest of the Michigan offensive line. He projects as a hybrid OLB/DE at the next level though. He's 6'4, 260 pounds, and runs somewhere in the 4.5s or 4.6s. What's scary is that his cousin is 6'5, 230 pounds, with similar rippage at only 15.. You can ask Chis how good this man is.

Do you really think that I believe every mock draft I read? No. That's just what you were implying because of how you responded to cooljayhu's comment.

Gohlston top 5? Doubt it I see him going mid-teens at best. I think he'll go to NE personally. They don't have much of a weakness anywhere, but those LBers aren't getting any younger.

He'd probably fit in best in NE. OLB/DE hybrid perfect for a 3-4.

you know what I am entitled to my opinion. He disappeared in that NC Game but he did dominated Michigan but they suck so whatever. And I was talking about him gaining weight if wanted to play DE. If he wants to play LB than yeah thats a good weight for him. However I dont see the pats taking him just a gut feeling.

So, dominating the player that's being called one of the top 3 best in the draft doesn't count for anything? The man made Jake Long his personal bitch every time he lined up across from him. Dissapeared in the NC game? Yeah, he kind of did. He still got a sack, but I recall on one play, he beat the double team, beat the running back, and put pressure on Flynn as he was throwing the ball. So, if we're judging everybody by one game, why don't we drop Jake Long to the 3rd round, due to him dissapearing against Ohio State. Sidenote: I really think that if JL comes out though, cooljay will be right about the Pats not taking Gholston. I think they'd look at JL first because they've gotta replace Bruschi in a few years.

I didn't pay much attention to the Michigan-OSU crapshoot game so I couldn't tell you who he went up against. Just in the 3-4 games I watched of OSU he didn't do much to impress me. And the reason I say the Pats wont take him is cause he'll play OLB where we have Vrabel, Colvin, and Thomas who are all really good. I agree about ILB but I would rather have Rey M. (cant spell that shit) rather than JL.

yeah but there is a point where you need some young guys that can gain experience by learning from the older guys then take over from them.

so 12 years..yeah, I don't see them going linebacker. Again, Bellicheck likes experienced LBs.
