It would be huge for George Mason's program to atleast make the tourney this year. If they dont, their shot at pulling in some big recruits for the future and becoming a mid-major such as Gonzaga will probably go to waste. Yeah, similar to what Zaga had to do in 2000. I think they had to beat #1 seed Pepperdine to make the dance (I remember watching that game somehow). It would be huge for GMU to make it back, even if they probably will next year. It'll show recruits that they just aren't a flash in the pan. Three Confrerence Championship games tonight: GMU vs VCU (7 pm on ESPN)CAA Title Siena vs Niagara (9 pm on ESPN 2) MAAC Title Santa Clara vs Gonzaga (9 pm on ESPN) WCC Title Good night of mid major basketball. Screw them. Oakland's on at 9:30. Weber State is gonna take the Big Sky titale and upset UCLA... Big Sky MVP David Patten is gonna rule the courts Where do you get your drugs? Must be some REALLY good stuff.

That's right DB, they're playing UMKC right? I forgot to check before posting ... but I will be watching the other stuff, more on a picture-in-picture basis.

Correct. Quite frankly, I'm surprised it's televised.

VCU and George Mason is coming down to the wire. VCU is up 59-57, GMU has possession with 30.5 left and its a timeout right now, should be quite a finish.
EDIT: Spoke a little too soon, VCU is now up 5 with 17.2 left, GMU went for a three and missed, fouled, blah, blah, blah... its over!

:'(VCU wins still, this game was really good and Mason's effort was unbelievable considerin VCU beat them twice this season. Im proud of them and next season, they should improve dramatically.

That was a very good game, could have been better with a Griz win, oh well, maybe next year.

The big tournies are starting up today with the Big East. Tomorrow will be a huge day for the bubble teams. Things are starting to get good now. There were some very god mid-major games this year as well, and they had more of the NCAA feel because if you don't win, you don't go dancing. Anyway, just wanted to bump this really.

Teh Big East tourney is my favorite of all the conferences. I like how you have to do well just to get into it. Anyways, will there be another run like Syracuse's last year? We'll have to see. I need some cash. That's what college basketball pools are for

Why not UConn? They have a lot of talent (yes very young talent). They're playing with Cuse right now, and they would end up playing Pitt (4th seed right?). Who knows, slip by Pitt and Georgetown and we have another big story. You know, assuming they win right now.

UConn blows and if they win I am not positive if Cuse will be dancing

UConn blows and if they win I am not positive if Cuse will be dancing Considering they're barely in even before this game, I'd say they won't be with a loss here.

Nike > NCAA.
It's a sad state of affairs. Nike shoves its horrible ideas on the players and subsequently their fans. That's why Oregon's football program, even with their great teams historically and their great fans... is still a joke. Hey, why isn't Oregon in on the new skintights?
