He's basically a touger, bigger, faster, and better tackling version of Kemerion Wimbley...

Colt Brennan and no Troy Smith in the 1st round confuses me...sorry. Why has everyone mock I've seen seem to forget about Troy Smith. Troy Smith went from 1st or 2nd pick to 2nd round or maybe even 3rd? What JaMarcus did vs. Notre Dame's poor defense somehow outdoes what Troy Smith did all season and last season?

Colt Brennan is not a first round prospect, at least not in my mind.

Troy Smith was NEVER a candidate for 1st or 2nd pick. He wasn't even mentioned in top 10 discussion. Most mocks had him where that one has Brennan or a little lower, so a slide into the second round fails to surprise me.

Yeah, even if Troy would've dominated the NC, he would've still been out of the Top 10.

I guess I just made assumptions about Smith but Brennan in the first round...I don't know.

I like the prediction of Jarvis Moss drafted by Baltimore, but I dont like the idea of Adalius Thomas leaving the Ravens. Obviously, he is somebody I would love for us to keep on the team.

Paul Poz over Patrick Willis? Yeah, if Willis is still there, I don't see how the Saints don't draft him. Willis is sick.

I agree, especially with Willis being a near home prospect. Im sure the Saints see much more of Willis from Ole Miss than Poz from Penn State you know?

Levi Brown with the 12th pick... another season to not look forward to. I liked this mock draft before it was updated today, seeing how they had us nabbing JaMarcus Russell a week ago...
I would like the Eagles to pick Posluszny. Their outside linebackers are crap outside of Omar Gaither, who could go either way during his career. But the way the Eagles tackled this whole season, they could use a guy like him...

Russell would definitely make things interesting, and I'm still not sold on J.P., but he certainly improved this season. Could you defend picking another QB in the first round? Of course our last first round tackle turned out to be a real winner. (Mike Williams, 4th overall, cut)

Colt Brennan is not a first round prospect, at least not in my mind. thats because you have that pre-concieved notion that all he is just a timmy chang clone that he doesn't deserve to even be thought about in a draft...

Jesus F. Christ. You love Colt Brennan don't you? I'll give you that he's an above-average quarterback, but he's got inflated stats cause of Hawaii's system. Just cause you throw tons of touchdown passes doesn't immediately make you a top prospect. How'd David Klingler work out? Colt Brennan is an above-average quarterback playing in a system that makes him look way better than he really is. COLT BRENNAN WILL NEVER BE A STAR IN THE NFL. QUOTE ME.

Thanks. Go ahead. I'll stick to my words.
Best case scenario: I dunno....Kelly Holcomb? Jon Kitna?
I compare it to Kitna: He's not really a good quarterback. Adequate stop-gap starter. In Martz's system this year, he threw for 4,000 yards. He doesn't do that with ANY other team. Guaranteed.

I dont know.... Brennan has a rocket arm and he can make every throw. If you have seen him trow, you would be impressed also.

I'm hit and miss with Brennan. I've heard (key word there) that he's got good arm strength and makes good decisions, but he's in an offense predicated on short to intermediate throws the majority of the time, and if I'm an NFL scout, I'm wondering why they don't let him loose more? He's an intriguing prospect, to say the least, but I think the hype of breaking the TD record is fueling his meteoric rise up the draft boards.
In other words, there's really no way to tell more about this kid until the combine. It's a weak QB draft anyways, so he's going to go higher than he should.

I don't "love" him but I am a fan of Hawaii and Colt being thier biggest star I back him up whenever someone is dissing on a favorite player of mine. Whenever I see a player that I like get disrespected I speak up.. you could say the same about every fan of a player... If someone told you a favorite player is just mediocre and is never gonna actually good then would''nt you want to back them up and maybe give your player respect? some of you guys just flat out disrespect colt brennan because the "system" he is in... its not just throwing June Jone's system is based alot on reading defenses and then the QB has to predict where the WR who also reads the defense and gets to pick thier route in that certin play they called so you have to read the defense and read your own WR on what route he'll run to make a catch thats sounds pretty complicated there its a hell of alot better offense to watch than run, run, pass, punt offense... and i always hear thats hes a system QB but what about the rBS that run over 300times a seaosn or 400 time they're yards are inflated also... im jsut trying to say that disrespect someone that I like and im gonna back them up.... Ill do the same for all my other favorite football and hockey players...
