One reason for all the big deals is the cap room extention. More money to shove out for the free agents to persuade them to sign.

Old news, but Donnie Edwards re-signed (well, signed) with the Chiefs for three seasons, and will get 7.5 mil up front.
He's getting older, but he'll add some stability at linebacker. He won't have Jamal Williams plugging up the middle, but he'll still get his 100 tackles. Bank it.

Saints continuing to improve their defense as they signed S Kevin Kaesviharn. I think the Saints have had a pretty succesful free agency so far. We are filling the few holes we had...

Cato June to TB. Excellent signing in my opinion. He's small, but he will fit into their system nicely.

Shores up a problematic area for the Bears for little to nothing, good trade.

I wouldn't be so quick to say Adam Archuleta shores up anything. Unless I am completely oblivious, you guys play a basic Cover 2 putting a lot of stress on the safeties. Any decent TE should have a field day against you guys.

Lovie Smith brought him in because he coached him back in St. Louis. He has some special packages for Archuleta that would use him at the line of scrimmage, instead of in coverage where he sucks.

Even so, Hunter Hillenmeyer is charged with the TE duty, and is the most over looked part of our defense, the only TE in the past two seasons I can think of having a good day is Ben Watson of the Patriots. Hunter can shut 'em down.

well schaub can finally getting some serious time under center now that hes outta atlanta. i wish him all the best, and only wish that we werent under such a ackward situation at QB which meant that Schaub never got meanigful time under center. i think schaub will excel in houston where he can develop under kubiak who will be able to turn him into a better version of jake plummer/brain griese.
hopefully Vick can be more focused now and lead us into the postseason.

Vick may be able to lead the team to the post-season but I don't think he has what it takes to lead the team to a Super Bowl title.
