I believe you forgot the Sun Belt, the Mountain West, and the WAC.
And the A-10, and the GLIAC, and Division III. Congrats?

Pac-10, Big 12 is a pretty big deal to get beaten by a single team.

Well it was a historic day for Hawai'i because for the first time ever they had 5 players drafted.
Ikaika Alama Francis (Lions), Samson Satele (Phins), Melia Purcell (Browns), Reagan Mauia (Phins), and Nate Ilaoa (Eagles)

Jeff, did you know that Ohio State had more players drafted in the first round last year (5) than LSU did this year (4)?
I'd say that's pretty impressive for Ohio State.

Yes it is impressive but this year LSU dominated the first round. I don't know why you guys are pissed off about it, I'm just excited that LSU is finally going to be represented in the NFL, that hasn't really happened in my lifetime to this effect. Sorry i'm excited that a lot of guys I saw play were takin in the first round. Shit.

I don't think we're annoyed at that.
I think we're more annoyed that you suddenly believe JaMarcus Russell is the greatest quarterback in NFL history when he hasn't even thrown an NFL pass.

He had a good Junior year but is wasn't great.

Well JaMarcus was amazing in every game last season. Eh.....maybe UF was not that great but Fisher took it out of his hands against the Barn and he was having a good game.
The ND game just got him more in the national spotlight, he was the most physcially gifted quarterback I have ever seen. Even in HS (and yes I did see him play in HS) he was an amazing physical specimin. Everyone who saw him play thought he'd be NFL good.
If he can adjust to the NFL and get some weapons in Oakland, he may just be a very good quarterback. He's probably got the longest arm in the NFL right now and is actually very accurate. The key will be adjusting to the NFL game and actually having someone to throw to.
All I'm saying is that Jeff isn't completely wrong.

I'd like to get Jeff's thoughts on Dwayne Bowe, him being an LSU guy. I'm excited about him coming to KC this year and giving Brodie a weapon to throw to. Other SEC guys can chime in too if they want.

He had a good Junior year but is wasn't great. I was there for 8 games. I've seen him way more than anybody else on this board. I'm pretty sure I know his skills far more than you. Do you people forget that I went there last semester and saw every game? You act like i've never seen the kid play

Other SEC guys can chime in too if they want. I always thought Craig Davis was a better reciever, don't really know why but I just like his game more. After Bowe got eye surgery and could see the ball he improved to one of the best wide outs in the nation. He's a very good player, big, strong and has good hands. He's not a super fast wide out but he makes big catches at big points. He is LSU's all time touchdown leader for a wide out and thats impressive considering who LSU has had at wide out the last few years. Josh Reed was a hoss in college but too small for the NFL, Mike Clayton is a great player but Bowe was statistically better than all of them. Still like Davis more, he's faster and I think he has more consistent hands.
