The terrible way this organization has handled Iverson in its entirety gives AI the right to go where he wants in my opinion. Obviously he's had character issues early on, but the closest thing to helping him in that area stopped after they fired that assistant and then interim coach Ford, which was the closest thing to discipline he ever learned. Then you have the terrible way Billy King tried to build around him (I'm sure Derrick Coleman, Kevin Ollie, and Keith Van Horn themselves knew they were getting paid entirely too much money for their suckiness) and AI was screwed of a high-potential career.
So I say let him go where he wants. If it screws the team to wait, too bad. They screwed him for 10 years...

I heard a report that the sixers traded AI to the nuggets for Andre Miller, Smith, and a 2 1st round picks. Just a report though so dont take it to heart.

They didn't get Smith for his playing ability....he's an expiring contract.
The two first-round picks are the key to this deal here. Miller's still a decent point guard.
Obviously the 76ers aren't trying to "win now."

yeah those two first round picks are excellent pick-ups...having three picks in the first should give their fans something to look forward to.

I don't think anybody ****ing understands why this is a horrible deal.
Right now the Sixers are sitting on the 2nd, 21st, and 27th picks.
THE TWO PICKS THEY GOT ARE GARBAGE.
Jesus Christ, we could have had Foye. I'm so pissed off right now.

what has Foye done this year? Jack crap....thats why i liked the Blazers picking Roy instead, was it you that argued with me that Roy wouldnt be as good as Foye? Looks like I won that argument

Yup, cause after all once you get to 20 it doesn't matter anymore.... Good players come in the late first....I know you know that, but Boston had 16, 24 and 25 a couple years ago and came away with Al Jefferson and Delonte West.

ASM, don't bring up the Roy > Foye argument again....Foye was far and away the best player drafted this year....
Three months does NOT dictate a career.

Foye's gotten around 15 minutes per game this year playing behind Mike James and Ricky Davis. Give him 30+ and I guarantee he'd become the best player on his team (obviously not Minnesota ... I'm talking about a situation where there's no proven star already).

The argument was who would have a better rookie season. I told you Roy would be the heart of the Blazers, without him they arent very good. If Foye was the best player drafted why isn't he starting? He wouldn't start in Portland either, usually the best player drafted starts for their team.

Um, me and Alex were arguing over career....you refused to expand on said point, only dwelling on rookie season.
If he got PT, he's ROTY, but the T'Wolves have Ricky Davis and just invested a crapload of money into Mike James.
He'd start on the Blazers. My feces could win a roster spot on that team.

If Roy wasn't there they would start Jack and Dixon Udoka Randolph and Joel....I still want to know why he isnt starting if he is so good. The idea is to put out your best talent to win, so he isn't good enough to start there

I just freaking TOLD you and if you had any sense in the upper register you'd have seen it. He's a COMBO guard, and the Timberwolves have invested a LOT of money in Ricky Davis and Mike James.
You can't sit down someone getting paid $20 million, especially if they're capable players, which they ARE.

If Roy wasn't there they would start Jack and Dixon Udoka Randolph and Joel....I still want to know why he isnt starting if he is so good. The idea is to put out your best talent to win, so he isn't good enough to start there Do you not understand the point? The Blazers have absolutely no talent on their team outside of Randolph. Everybody else on that team should be on the bench. Thus, that's why Roy actually plays. His team is full of recycled players nobody wants for obvious reasons. The Timberwolves on the other hand have guys like Mike James, Ricky Davis, and Kevin Garnett; players that GMs actually have tried to acquire. Thus, their value is higher than Juan freakin Dixon. So Randy Foye doesn't have to be just thrown in the game, because he actually has talent on his team that forces him to compete for more playing time. Brandon Roy could be shooting 30% and turning the ball over 6 times a game and get the same amount of PT... If that doesn't make sense to you, maybe this will. Roy is shooting 37% from the field. By comparison, nobody on the Timberwolves that plays more than 7 minutes shoots that bad, yet Roy plays nearly four times longer. Why is that? Because the Blazers suck...
