I never said they weren't going to make the playoffs But you made it sound like it was late in the season and they were falling apart at the seams.

That's all he said... and that's correct. I don't understand how that makes it seem like he's counting them out when it's so clearly obvious...
He didn't say, "Wow, Yankees are done" he said they won't do jack unless they make their weakness a strong point. Just like the Devil Rays could be 2nd or 3rd in the division if they pull a bullpen out of their ass. Or the Nationals wouldn't finish as the worst team in the league unless they find some starting pitching. It's saying the same thing, but because you're in denial and think your team is going to rebound is going out on a limb.
Granted pitching today has been good so far, but everything he said will hold true come September... sooner you realize that, the better...

If they're this tired in April, imagine September. They're gonna be like the living dead.

I misunderstood the post, no need to get all pissy McGahee, like you do every time I make a post.
I thought he meant it in the present and that we weren't going to make the playoffs already, when I first read it that's the way it sounded. Take a chill pill.
I don't know why you think I am ignorant of this whole thing. Yes, I have pride in my team, and sometime it gets the best of me, but yes I know the pitching is a weak spot.
The only reason I responded to that post, that way, was because I misunderstood. That's all.

I only get pissy when somebody says someting stupid...
Congrats to the Yankees ending a 7 game losing streak. It took them a whole month, but they finally got a save this year...

George Steinbrenner says he believes in Joe Torre.
Good for him, cause nobody else does.

The Royals and Nats (tied for worst record in the league) are each 2 games back of the Yankees (the next worst record)... They also have the worst road record and have tied for the worst record for the last 10 games. 1-5 in one run games is also worst. At the rate they're going, the team will finish with 99 losses (which would be the highest ever since 1908).
Just throwin that out there...

If the Yanks had five Phil Hugheses, they'd be......okay. Maybe .500.
But alas they don't, and therefore they still have issues.

Incredible.
I don't think he would have gotten the no-hitter, but everyone who even touches the pitcher's mound wearing pinstripes suddenly breaks/fractures/sprains/tears/pulls something.

Ya, they are probably the most cursed team ever In the last month, yes. I really don't think any non-Yankee fan feels too bad for them as a team. Perhaps individual players like Hughes.

The only reason everyone hates the Yankees is because of that blow-hard media as is made obvious by that quote by yankeehtr. If the media didn't shit all over the Yankees as well as push all their activity on everyone else, no one would feel like they feel, besides maybe the Sox who the media adores and thus, so does everyone else.
