I don't adore the Sox. I'm sick of hearing about them.
But I've always hated the Yankees for many reasons not related to media coverage, thank you very much.

Once the Sox won the series I stopped caring about them... especially when they built of quite a strong front-runner fan base.
Media attention is far down the list on reasons I hate the Yankees (it's more so for the Red Sox than the Yankees). $252 million, Rodriguez in general, Giambi's HGH injected arms, and Steinbrenner's wallet are just a handful of the reasons to despise them...
Mussina and Pettite pitching today for a double-header. If they lose both games with their top 2 guys on the mound...

If Texas sweeps a doubleheader from the Yankees...with their top two pitchers going for them...heads are gonna roll. Big time.

Yankees squander a 5-0 lead and lose 15-11 to the Mariners...Damon and Jeter both choke with the bases loaded in the bottom of ninth

They shouldn't have been down 15-11 in the first place. Thank you Kei Igawa and fat ass Colter Bean. Worst game I've honestly ever watched...Igawa, go back to Japan...please!

The Yankees could have 9 Alex Rodriguez's in the lineup and still lose with that pitching staff. I wouldn't really pin too much of this on Beane. The guy's had like 2 innings of MLB experience, and baseball scientist Joe Torre puts him in the game with two on and no outs against the beef of the lineup... that would seem like a good time to keep the game intact by using your best reliever (Mike Myers...) to get out of the jam. Oh well, that's why he's an MLB manager (for now) and I'm not... Too bad the Yankees get an easy win against the beautiful Jeff Weaver... That's just freaky...

When you score 11 runs and lose, your pitching is awful.

Oh it's a shame the AL East, asides from Boston, sucks so bad. It's really an embarassment to say this team is in 2nd place... oh well, once they start playing the teams in their division more they'll drop, seeing how they have the worst record in inter-division play in the whole league.

The Yankees lost 14-2 today and are back below .500. That oughta bring 'em back to reality.

It's safe to say the AL wildcard comes from the Central this year.

I have learned over the years, to never ever, sleep on the AL West.

Does anyone else find it odd that there is a seven page thread to show hate but not any actually talking about the positives of the league?

Does anyone else find it odd that there is a seven page thread to show hate but not any actually talking about the positives of the league? There's just so much to hate about the sport in general... Yankees, steroids, the idiot commisioner, the TV deal mess, the Yankees, gambling, high payrolls, closers that attempt murder with a machete and set people on fire (Urbina!), the Yankees, corked bats, sausage incidents, the Yankees...
