There's just so much to hate about the sport in general... Yankees, steroids, the idiot commisioner, the TV deal mess, the Yankees, gambling, high payrolls, closers that attempt murder with a machete and set people on fire (Urbina!), the Yankees, corked bats, sausage incidents, the Yankees... You forgot people's obsession with the Yankees.

I'm not obsessed with them.
They're just fun to hate. Come on.

Horacio Ramirez is owning the Yankees so far... poor Pettite is probably going to throw a great game and still get the loss...

It's ok, his hetero life-mate (Clemens) can give him a rub down in the locker room to ease the tension.

Mike Mussina lost to rookie John Danks today.
Good job, Yanks.

Yankees "Ace" Matt DeSalvo gets roughed up early and the offense is overpowered by the Sox #4 pitcher... just one game up on the last place Orioles, and so when they get swept by the Mets...

Yankees "Ace" Matt DeSalvo Where did you get that piece of information? Why don't you just stay out of this thread...considering you're pro-Yankee...

It's not an obsession, idiot. We see the Yankees lose, we come here and post once in celebration.
If you can tell me how that's an obsession, I'd like to hear it.

That you check the scores every day just to see how the Yankees did and post it here if they lost.
I don't get why people are trashing the Yankees anyway. We haven't won a WS since 2000, so why does everyone have to complain about the whole salary thing and whatnot?

I check all the scores every day to see who won and lost...not just the Yankees....plus, considering SportsCenter gives us Yankee highlights and scores within the first 15 minutes of the show....they're the ones obsessed, I'd say.
(And it's fun. Give us a break.)

Well I'm sure you guys will have fun tonight... Darrell Rasner fractured his finger today against the Mets... do we have anyone left to call up??

Yanks used 6 pitchers. Just what that bullpen needs, and another injury to a starter, just what that rotation needs.

The Yankees could field 8 hall of famers at every position and still miss the playoffs with all these pitching woes.

Ok so right before I went on vacation things were looking good for the Yanks...I go away and for whatever reason only get like 12 channels so I can't see them play and thus they lose like all but one of the games while I was gone. FLUFF!

Yankees "Ace" Matt DeSalvo Where did you get that piece of information? Mike Mussina's 5.something ERA doin anything for ya? Wang's been crap, and Pettite, while he has been doing good the majority of the season, has a team that refuses to score runs for him no matter how bad the team... Yes, it was sarcasm (thus the quotes), but he's pretty much been one of your top 3 pitchers... And I'd rather be an anti-Yankee fanboy that enjoys a Yankees loss than a crybaby Yankee fan like yourself who's made more excuses than a disgraced politician for your struggles. You won't convince any of us to change our views (call it ignorance, prejudice, raciest, whatever for all I care...) so really, you might as well stay out of this thread while your team sulks half a game away from last place in the sub-par AL East... unless you just like being annoying, in which case please continue Go Not Yankees!

The Yankees are pounding that Sox staff again. Whether it's Wakefield or not, we've done it all season so I really don't know what people are seeing in their staff. Hopefully we can hold onto this one and maybe even keep it out of the bullpen's hands for most of the night to bar any usual pen mistakes by Meyers and Vizcaino.
