And Avs fans will agree when I say that you only need Forsberg for the playoffs to see him work his magic... Oh so true. The man should've been the Smythe winner in 02-03. Great playoff performer. |

We've seen potential out of Havlat, but there's always something holding him back, whether it be an injury plagued year like he had last year or taking stupid penalties...
But if he can come through this year, depending on whether Daze can come back healthy as well, he should be the #1 guy scoring-wise. He's only like 24 or 25, so Havlat's got a few more years to prove he's a legitimate scoring option...

Havlat has it good...hes getting 6Million a year to loses games and not have to perform that good...even if he played his best the hawks would still lose...its a win-win situtation(no pun intended)

Well, I just got word that Peter Forseberg will not need a second ankle surgery and it looks like he will be available for the start of the season.

Well, I just got word that Peter Forseberg will not need a second ankle surgery and it looks like he will be available for the start of the season. Fantastic news... They say he will start to skate at the beginning of September. However, I'm skeptical on whether he will actually be ready by the season opener. One month is not a long time to prepare, and if he comes back, I don't see it possible that he's up to full speed. But this certainly does beat waiting until January to get back the greatest player in the league... |

I was a die-hard Tony Amonte fan (not even joking.) and what ever team he was on, I became upsessed with. When he got traded to Philly at the beggining it was just the same and then when he was on a team that could actaully mkae the playoffs I became crazy about them. From then point on I will always be a die-hard Flyer fan. Even though Tony is on Calgary (which I recently stoped following) I will be dedicated to the Flyers.

I also loved Amonte. I still like to check up on him in Calagary. I am really excited for some of the young guys we have upcoming. I was crazy happy to see Umberger sign on. Didn't know you played hockey bdes. That is pretty cool. 21 is a good number, but my number is the best, 0. I tried to get 00 but couldn't. Bernie Parent wore that once in another league. I wanted 1, but someone got to it before me.

Glad to see Foppa is recovering better than expected. I think at this point, I'd just like to see him pad his numbers enough to get himself into the hall, because I think he's borderline right now.

Habs signed Abbie, terms not disclosed.
Belfour is expected to sign with Detroit very soon, though talks have slowed down.
Legace is in talks with St. Louis, seems like a good fit for them, though the rumour is that Legace wants $4 million.
Peca is in negotiations with Toronto.
And Colorado remains sitting on their hands while every FA gets signed.

Habs traded Zednik and got Mike Johnson from Phoenix, I don't know the guy at all but he's probably better than Zednik.

Excellent pickup for Montreal... Zednik was there only somewhat decent left-winger, and now with Samsonov, a first line of Kovalev-Koivu-Samsonov seems pretty beastly... or even a younger line of Samsonov-Ryder-Ribeiro could turn out well...
