-Peter Forsberg rumored to have waived his no-trade clause. Pretty much everyone is interested in the center.

-The Bruins are shopping D Brad Stuart around and several teams including the Oilers are very interested.

-The Blackhawks are reportedly shoppig Nikolai Khabibulin (sp?) to league. His 6.5 Mil contract will make him hard to move

-The Kings are shopping several players including Sean Avery, Mattias Norstrom, Mathieu Garon, and others.

-The Oilers, Flames, and others are very intereste in the Leafs F Darcy Tucker. No comment from John Ferguson Jr. yet.

-The Oilers, if they fall out of the playoff race in the coming weeks, may look to deal F Ryan Smyth. Symth will be a UFA after the season and if efforts to resign him fail he may be shipped for some younger talent

-Shane Doan has resigned with the Coyotes for 4 years at 22.25M

For those that have no clue when the deadline is (including me) it's on the 27th of February...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Robert Esche traded to a playoff calibur team who wouldn't mind some depth at goalie (possibly Pens, Lightning, or even Wild).

The Rangers let go a very good prospect (Cliche) for Avery, not sure its that good of a deal for them...

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Forsberg end up in Atlanta. He, Hossa and Kovalchuk would just flat out dominate.

The Avery trade just doesn't make sense to me. I can't understand why you'd bring in a guy like Avery, somebody pretty much everyone in the league hates, when you're fighting for a playoff spot. Hopefully the New York media tears him apart.

am I the only one that loves avery and evething he does. He is like the TO of the nhl but without the talent. Plus I think this was just an okay move by NY. He's an okay player with some grit but he takes alot of penalties and they gave up some quality prospects in Cliche (who was on Team Canada for the World Juniors) and Marek (who is tearing it up for Malkin's old team)

Chicago apparently seems interested. Samsonov and Craig Rivet for Smolinski and Aucoin...

Speaking of the Habs, David Aebischer will likely stay in Montreal, due to Huet's struggle over the past few weeks, simply as insurance.

Also, Olli Jokinen WANTS to stay a Panther... dumbass...

well our goalie situation is pretty good so I dont see why we would ruin that by trading either Aebi or Huet. We are better with the two of them than just with one.

For the rumors with Chicago, Id be pretty mad if we would go and get Aucoin for Rivet and Sammy. Not that I love either of Sammy or Rivet but Aucoin is just a big fluke.

Paul Holmgren is not human. He can't think or show emotion so he has no idea what is going on. The fans would love to see it. I would take Michael Handzus back even though he is injured. I loved that guy.

Now he's out for 2-3 weeks.

wow the habs are not going to make the playoffs... I just cant believe it. It's stupid to see our stadium has been full for like 200 straight games and Bob Gainey cant even get us a team that is competitive.
