Ya last year the SEC East was a mess. Hell, South Carolina had a shot at one point to go to the championship last season.

Bama's SEC Preview: Week Three
Well things are about to get very, very interesting in the SEC. This weekend faces off the four favorites for the SEC Title in two games that will set the winner up for a clear shot at the SEC Championship game and the losers will be hoping for a surprise loss or two to be able to jump the other team. This weekend, someone's national championship hopes will die.
Game of the Week: #6 LSU at #3 Auburn
The Bayou Bengals are heading to the Plaines of East Alabama to face off against the detested Auburn Tigers, or War Eagles, or whatever the hell they're calling themselves now. The game features two of the top 3 quarterbacks in the SEC in LSU's powerful JaMarcus Russell and Auburn's field general Brandon Cox. The most interesting battle however will be between LSU's offensive coordenator Jimbo Fisher and Auburn's defensive coordenator Will Muschamp. For those that don't know, Fisher and Muschamp were both at LSU when they won the national title in 2003.
The game will come down to who's got the better defense, and more specifically who's defense won't break. Auburn's defense is based on a very aggressive blitz package that can get them burned. LSU's is really much of the same but they have an edge in the fact that every starter, or at least 10 was a top five recruit in their position. These kids have talent, and have looked almost as dominate as the Ravens defense back in 00 when they won the Super Bowl. Which leads to my pick.
The Corndogs 21 The Barn 18
The "Other" Game Of The Week: #7 Florida at #14 Tennessee (Rankings are total guess)
The Urban Renewal project faces its first test of the season as the mighty Gators head up to Knoxville to face the hated Tennessee Vols. The key to this game is Chris Leak, or moreover the offense that Urban runs. The Vols defense is much to fast to have plays that take too long to develope. Meyer is going to have to employ a more vertical passing game to keep UT's safeties honest and going to have to commit to running the ball. The Vols on the other hand are going to be looking to keep the score nice and low and let their suprisingly effective offense find a way to squeak out a few touchdowns against the Gators stout defense. I think home field makes the difference, so I'm calling for the upset.
Prediction:
Florida 20 Tennessee 21
Other Games:
UGA 31-20 UAB UK 24-21 Ole Miss USC 34-3 Wofford Arky 20-10 Vandy MSU 13-7 Tulane Bama 30-3 ULM
*Note: Last Week I went 9-0*

I will be posting my picks for the SEC later on tonight, but I just want to step in on the upset pick on UF and let you know that I will have to disagree on that when I make my picks tonight!

Main Games: Florida 17 Tennessee 10 LSU 24 Auburn 17 Other Games: UGA 27-14 UAB UK 14-10 Ole Miss USC 42-3 Wofford Arky 17-7 Vandy MSU 20-17 Tulane Bama 24-6 ULM As you can see I think all of my picks are the same as Bama except for the UF game. So for the most part I agree, but then again I highly disagree on that one game we chose different decisions on.

I think the UF game could go that way Leak, I just happen to think UT could surprise some folks.

Look at that, Arkansas 21-19 Vanderbilt in the fourth quarter. I feel a little bit better about that trip up to Fayetteville next weekend (my birthday) for the Tide. Hopefully they'll make it a very happy birthday or I'm going to be pretty depressed when I head out Sat. night.
Anyway, Geaux Tigers! Only 20 minutes away from the biggest game of the day.

Great, Auburn's #2 right now.
Someone explain to me the difference between a tip and an interception? Apparently a tip negates pass interference but get both hands on it and it doesn't matter. LSU got hosed, and it just adds to my utter hate of the "War Eagle Tiger Plainsmen." Here's to Urban dominating the Tiggers in a few weeks!

Lets hope so, but for now I think we're focused on those ugly traffic cones in the next hour.

Here's to Urban dominating the Tiggers in a few weeks! Here, here! What a game and what a finish. I hate to say it was a bad call to not go for the endzone, but it didn't pay off to dump one off on the 10, wow.

My problem goes to the men in stripes, who seemed to be hellbent on LSU losing that game. Homecooking is hard to watch, especally when it's going for the team that embodies all that is evil. I guess it's better than actually being evil, that honor goes to Tennessee. Edit*- Fantastic game by the ole Michigan boys, that was quite a joy to see.

Yes... yes it was. hate to make this the Big Ten thread and steal your thunder, but if the defense plays this well all year, we are looking at a serious run for the Big Ten title and maybe BCS....
Mario Manningham will be in a #1 jersey next year... mark it!

I told my dad that it was looking like Michigan's coming out party today. The way things look, that game at the Horseshoe could be vury, vury interesting come November.
Now onto the SEC. Mississippi State is getting dominated by Tulane, which is just sad and it looks like Kentucky will beat Ole Miss. Man how the schools from Mississippi have fallen. The UT/UF game is close, with Tennessee up at the half. Oh and Alabama is up 41-7 against Monroe, which is something I never thought I would say again. You know, Alabama actually scoring 40 points in a game.

Trailing 10-7 at halftime, and a bad call on what should have been a punt return TD has hurt us thus far. There is now way that block was in the back, it was clear on the replay Colquitt was hit right on the shoulder/chest area.
Either way, its been a great game and Chris Hetland's missed field goals might cost us in the end. Hopefully, Leak can lead the team in the second half and get us ahead and back in control like we were during the first quarter.

Im sorry this isnt SEC but i need somewhere to ramble
Im watching the UCONN game in the 3rd quarter right now on espn 360 and im pissed. Matt Nuzie missed a 30 yarder and a exp, and the huskies are down 14-13 despite owning wake in every category. Hopefully UCONN can pick it up and pull out a win.
BTW, dont tell me the score

Alright I let the other conferences play, but from now on, it's all about the best conference in the land.
This UF/Tenn game is getting interesting, and hopefully Leak will lead a last minute drive and win the game for Florida. Did I mention that Kentucky blew Ole Miss out and MSU lost to Tulane?
