Early kick for an LSU game, that's brutal man.
I'm liking it pretty well so far, though I'm sick of this move. We just moved down to the Gonzales-Geismar-P-Ville area, so I'm not actualy in Baton Rouge any more. Thank God too, the traffic is much less. How's LSU treating you Jeff? Able to get classes in between the shots of Jack?

Are you homesick or is it something else? I can see it being a hard transition, going from Montana to Baton Rouge. Hopefully you'll make it through and start enjoying it or of course go back home.

That's totally understandable. Nothing can really seem familiar right now, going from the Big Sky country to the middle of cajun country. The scenery isn't normal, and you left a lot of friends behind. It at least looks like Mobile, and I at least have my family here. Just look at it this way man, you either grow to like it or you'll end up going home. Neither is really a bad thing, it'll just take some time to figure out what you need.
Oh and Go Gamecocks (just to make the thread kind of stay on topic)

SEC Preview: Week Six
I was perfect last week on my picks, making my overall record look pretty good. There are some big games this week, so I'm going to have a deep look at two of them.
Game of the Week: LSU at Florida
This game is a must win for LSU. With a loss, LSU will fall to 1-2 in SEC play and have to hope Auburn loses three games in conference play if they want to reach the SEC championship. That's not likely to happen, so LSU has to be ready to play on Saturday. Florida on the other hand, still has National Championship dreams to keep going, but now they hit the real meat of their schedule. Florida is in trouble on offense, because LSU may have the best defense in America. Ultra-talented, extremly fast, and very smart. Florida is going to have to play at a much higher level than they did against Alabama on offense or they'll get held to 10 points. Then LSU has the best set of wideouts in the entire conference, and the most talented quarterback to go along with it. Florida's cornerbacks will be meat this weekend. This one just doesn't look like it's going to be a classic matchup.
LSU Tigers 28 Florida Gators 17
Tennessee at Georiga
Tennessee is looking for payback, and payback they shall get. The Georiga Bulldogs are in trouble against the talented Vols defense, as they continue to search to a solution to their quarterback problem. Do you play the freshman or do you play the average at best sophomore? Tough call. The good news is that Georiga does play very tough defense, and that will keep them in this ball game. Tennessee hasn't played great on the offensive side of the ball when they've seen a good defense this year. They'll be held below 30 in this one, but again, it's not going to be as close as some of the experts feel.
Tennessee Vols 23 Georiga Bulldogs 13
Other Games:
Alabama 41-3 Duke S. Carolina 37-24 Kentucky Vanderbilt 24-21 Ole Miss Auburn 31-10 Arkansas W. Virginia 37-3 Miss. State
Predictions for SEC Championship as of 10/1:
Florida vs Auburn

Thats a lot of points in the UF-LSU game, I'm expecting a 17-14 outcome either way.

Thats a lot of points in the UF-LSU game, I'm expecting a 17-14 outcome either way. Yeah I know, but Alabama was close to scoring a few touchdowns but had key breakdowns that kind of blew that for them. Florida's corners do have some weakness, because the slant was money all day for Bama. It'll probably be less, but I kind of think LSU is good enough to beat them like that. To be honest though, a Florida win at least keeps Alabama in the running for the SEC West. It's not likely we can actually do it, but it at least keeps it in the realm of possiblity. Go I kind of hope Florida proves me very wrong on Saturday.

Well Bama you picked us to lose once and failed already this year, hopefully tomorrow we shall prove you wrong again. I can tell you one thing, it'll be a much closer game than 28-17.

I'm just kind of willing LSU to win. An LSU loss almost assures Auburn of the SEC West crown, and I don't want to see that happen this early. Florida better play better than they did against Bama, because they are much better than we are.

Auburn at home, against a team that has looked sloppy all season. Sure they're up at halftime, but I have little faith in the Hogs holding on to this one. Though I will have a fit if they do.

Gonna be a close game down the stretch, but 24-10 Arky right now.

The Hogs have expanded their lead to 27-10 in the third quarter. They'll have to have a Spartan-like 4th quarter collapse to lose this one.

good game in Florida against LSU. I thought LSU would get a safety there twice.

The Auburn loss is bad news for us. It would of been hard enough to beat them on the road, but now we have to give them a second loss at home. What are the odds that it happens?
This is just another reason why we need to win this game against LSU.
