See, they can counter by saying 41-14. So you fail.

Exactly. I also like throwing out 11-6 (Michigan National Titles to OSU national titles)

I think Florida-USC would of been a great national championship, but would of never happened this year. With the talent both teams have, and the way we both are recruiting though we might have one in the future.

So... what?
We lose two bowl games to the two most talented teams in the country, one in Southern California that is probably committing NCAA violations as we speak, and we suck? That makes no sense.

That makes no sense. *tilts head with a confused look* What are you talking about? You know all colleges commit NCAA violations every day right? That's life, get used to it.

Yes, but do all colleges win national championships because of it?
And that's not life. Not all colleges commit violations. Get used to it.

When at one point in a season you hold the #1 and #2 team in your conference, you cant consider that conference anything less than very good or excellent. They just were overwhelmed by speed and a layoff of over a month. They also played two of the most talented teams in the nation.

You've got to be kidding me. You do realize that every single school has an NCAA compliance officer, right? And you do realize that those guys work for the NCAA, and watch the programs like hawks?
If your talking about minor violations, which these days can consist of giving a player a donut, then you might be right. But not every college commits NCAA violations. I mean, after all, it's life. And they are used to it.

Flordia-USC or Florida-LSU would both be games I'd like to watch... certainly they wouldn't have gotten blown out as bad as the two Big Ten schools and Notre Dame...

No no no no no. Everyone shot all us "rematch" supporters down when we wanted OSU/Mich. So you cant have a rematch of this game either.

And they are used to it. Every team cheats, it's just the nature of the game. The incentives for cheating (more money) far outweigh the possible cost of getting caught. If you cheat and get good, your merchandise and ticket sales, oh and let us not forget bowl game payouts that it makes it well worth it to most programs to bend the rules. It's simple really, the smart ones just don't get caught. Oh and Sportsbuck, who said the boosters ever talk to the NCAA guy? Yeah, a guy up in Memphis payed a coach to push a kid to go to Bama. A guy in Knoxville found out, and Bama's screwed. Why did Fatlock and the boys go to the NCAA? Why to get themselves out of trouble with the Tee Martin situation. It's a dirty game, and too many school are playing it. You know, I could be wrong, and most programs could be very clean. I hope I am, but I doubt it.

Bama, could you enlighten me on the Tee Martin situation? I don't follow SEC football that closely, and didn't back then, so could you tell me?

Bama, could you enlighten me on the Tee Martin situation? I don't follow SEC football that closely, and didn't back then, so could you tell me? I don't remember it that well, but it was something about the preferential treatment that he got from UT or something. The NCAA was looking into it, and Tennessee was suppose to be in some hot water. Then the Bama thing came out and somehow Tennessee did not get in any trouble at all. Why you ask. That's because Phil Fulmer made a deal with the NCAA to turn in Bama to get Tennessee out of trouble. Gotta love the NCAA. Of course this is an organization to that penalized a player who's coach payed for a meal of his after his dad died. They'll get people on very nit-picky things, and yet if certain programs get into big trouble, it'll get swept under the rug or a deal will be made. Hence why I don't have much love for the NCAA.

Jeez guys let it go.
Can anyone get a grip that the game is over and Florida is the national champion? It's one thing when the season isn't over but the game is over. Florida wins.
For once, I think the BCS was right. I think the two best teams played each other and Florida showed that they deserved to be there by winning, Ohio State also deserved to be there, after going 12-0 and beating Michigan.
I don't see why people are arguing, even about violations. USC beat Michigan. So what? That means they are committing NCAA violations because they have in the past?
Give me a break. Are we also going to argue that USC had homefield advantage or something?
Once again, Florida won big time and no one can tell me they don't deserve to be National Champions. The seasons done, get over it!

I find it funny that the guy who's school became infamous for Maurice Clarett is the one who brought up violations.
