Carolina had first and goal at the 7, down by 3, with under a minute to go. Should be guaranteed overtime at least right? RIGHT? WRONG!
Weinke should be starting the next game. Delhomme, Gamble, and Minter all have to go this offseason. The first round pick should be used on a QB. Then a safety. Then a CB. Then LB.

So funny you should say that, you were singing the priases of the panthers last season, as I were for the Bears, gues we know who of the two are for real now.
Just saying is all, Carolia has poven that in back-to-back weeks, not trying to start anything.

Chicago obviously did much more to upgrade their team over the offseason and isn't stuck with an exponentially regressing QB.

Delhomme played allright yesterday, it was the stupid play calling that wrecked the game for them.
That pass to Keyshawn was not going anywhere, what the fu*k ....
Garcia played awesome. He's an underated qb.

I'm sorry, but taking Rex Grossman over anybody at this point seems like a mistake. And Delhomme isn't nearly as bad as you make him out to be David. Your team could be a lot worse.

Who dat!
Saints got a two game lead in the NFC South. Get a win against the Cowboys this weekend and we are in control of our destiny for the second seed in the NFC. Not that I think that's all that likely.

I must say that I am secretly rooting for the Saints to make the playoffs...
Oops, I guess it's not a secret anymore.

Jake Delhomme got you to a freaking Super Bowl.
I can't believe ANYONE would want Weinke over Delhomme.

My dad actually started a Jake Delhomme drinking game.
It's just like the Brent Musberger one, except this is every time Jake makes a bad decision, or pass.

All I have to say is we should change the topic of this thread to "Watch out NFC, New Orleans is back." Another Carolina loss and another New Orleans win. I believe that drops your "mighty" Panthers to 6-6 and puts us up to 8-4.
All I can say is we are winning without two of our defensive linemen, 2 starting WR out, and sloppy play out of our corners. If we beat Dallas next week then I think it would be safe to say we are the real deal.

New Orleans lost to Carolina. That should be an automatic disqualification from being considered good.

David just hates his teams. I hate crappy players that play on those teams. Everyone says it's just cynical and being pessimistic when I put money against them every week, yet the Panthers have an atrocious two wins against the spread this year. One reason being Delhomme fumbling and tossing around the ball like its a hot potato. The other being Henning thinks a 7 point lead is enough to sit back the rest of the game and let your defense take over. The third is one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. And to get an idea of how bad it is to watch Reggie Ball, picture Delhomme's pass that went twenty yards over everyone's head and right to the Eagles safety. Now imagine that happening every game for four years. GT wouldn't even be in a bowl game if the bowls contract with the ACC required them to be taken. The ACC is forced to buy up GT's allotment of tickets that aren't sold, and I guarantee that will be all but a thousand or so of them.

I have read a lot of your posts of late and none seem to make much sense. Well, they do, but you are bitching about the wrong things. Teams go through bad stretches, you have to take them with a grain of salt. You can't expect your team to go 16-0 every year, it has happened once and there is a reason. Face it David, you have it better off then almost everyone on this board. Carolina is pretty darn good, but are just going through a bad stretch, and GT had a chance to play for the ACC Champ. you have it better off then most here....

I would settle for not losing games single-handedly by throwing passes straight to the defense or missing wide open receivers in the end zone. I understand very well that teams go through patches where their talent level isn't up to par. But GT had way too much skill on defense and every offensive position outside of QB to finish where they did, and despite losing their O-line (which, admittedly, has hurt the run game and Delhomme tremendously) it is not acceptable to have led in the fourth quarter ELEVEN STRAIGHT GAMES only to have Delhomme, Henning, and Gamble combine to throw the game away in half of them.
