The Cardinals had there success at one time so... SAY WHAT? The NFL started holding playoff games in 1932. In 74 years, Arizona has made the playoffs SIX times. New Orleans has been five times since 1987, make it six if you count this year. Six playoff appearances in twenty years, or six playoff appearances in seventy-five years. Hmmm.... Oh yeah, Detroit went to the postseason six times in the 90s alone and don't really belong in this discussion.

When you throw it 61 times, you're gonna get those kinds of numbers.

When you throw it 61 times, you're gonna get those kinds of numbers. Delhomme would have had 100 yards less and about 5 picks if he had to throw that many times. And those won't be the variety that bounce of receivers hands. But I'm so glad Foster is healthy. Deangelo puts up 180 yards last week, and genius Henning gives him 6 touches today.

Im sorry, but I completely disagree. Delhomme would of had a much better game throwing the ball 61 times today than Weinke did. How do you throw 61 times and Steve Smith gets the ball just 5 times? Atleast Delhomme is smart enough to throw it to Smith.
I know its been a season full of underachievements and Delhomme is part of it, but you cant tell me with Weinke it would of been a better season. With Weinke at QB you wouldnt even be in the playoff hunt, or came close to beating the Ravens who's secondary got torched by Delhomme.

I dont know whats wrong with Smith, but he has been dropping a ton of passes this year, including letting one bounce right off his hands and straight to a defender to lock up another loss today. Something was really wrong with the Ravens that week, because you have to be pretty terrible to lose to this team this year. And I wouldn't say they are in the playoff hunt. Time to get draft position. Lot of needs. Carolina, you're done son.

Well, I havent seen very many Panther games so I will go on your word about Smith. Nothing was wrong with Baltimore that week, the issue was you guys caught our one weakness on defense which is Samari Rolle.
Luckily, he's actually playing a little bit better right now. But in that game Smith had destroyed Rolle because we had the dumb idea of placing McAlister on Keyshawn.

I just noticed on the back that someone said the Lions weren't an awful franchise. Only one Lions coach in the last 30 years has had a winning record - Gary Moeller, who replaced Bobby Ross midway through the 2000 season and was fired immediately after the season ended, finished 4-3.

Well unless the ultimate comebacks of comebacks happen, this'll make the panthers 0-4 since the creation of this thread

Yeah they quit three weeks ago. Disappointing, but profitable. Pitt -3 today for 10 units, ship it.

Just want to drop in and point out the Saints are NFC South Champs. I believe the NFC South is the only division in the NFC to have all four teams win the division since the 2002 realignment. The AFC West is the only other one with such parody.

Should have two home games, and the Bears are definitely beatable at Soldier in the postseason I'm still pissed at Houston for letting Reggie Bush fall into a division opponent's hands.

I really think that John Fox will draft whatever quarterback falls into his hands at this point.
I'm just speculating here, but maybe Troy Smith, or even Drew Stanton.

Four in five years actually. 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. The Panthers have won it twice since then I think. Also I think the South has had a team in the NFC Championship every year since the re-alignment.
Another interesting note, the last four years have featured the team who finished last the year before winning the division the following year. The NFC South has a ton of parody going on, and some damn good football.
As for the Panthers, I'm still not sold on you guys aboslutely needing a quarterback this draft. Honestly, if a guy like JaMarcus Russel makes the jump, I would try and get him if I was the Panthers. A guy that you can sit behind Jake for a year or two and get a taste of the NFL game. He's done well in the past and just had a bad year this season, and I still think he can be a good quarterback for the Panthers. David, I know you disagree though and you probably got a point as you follow them much closer than I do.
Anyway, see y'all in the Dome in two weeks.

There are more immediate needs than QB, and Delhomme should get another year with an offensive line, which was the biggest problem this year. You just can't overcome three starting offensive lineman going down. I always draft a safety first in Madden franchises, and think that Carolina should as well. LB is a need too. Also, one pick MUST be spent on a CB/WR that can run back punts and kickoffs, since Carolina is DEAD LAST in both retun categories. Offensive line depth would be nice too.

Dayemion Hughes out of Cal would be the best pick IMO.
There's also Gonzo, Teddy Ginn, Dwayne Jarret (If he comes out), Steve Smith, or others.
Could you imagine two Steve Smiths on one team? It'd be pretty confusing.
